As soon as Kurapika closed the door behind him, he fell into a deep state of regret. Sudden paranoia crashed like a wave over him and the blonde made his way to his window, attempting to draw the curtains. He had been watched by Chrollo Lucilfer for who knows how long was the first realization, the fact that the same Chrollo had the last pair of eyes he urgently needed was the second.

He grabbed the blonde strands framing his face, close to just pulling them out in frustration. All that wasn't even the worst part. Because they met in that church just minutes ago and Kurapika had felt cornered even though the spider had sat. And he had seen the eyes. So so so close before Chrollo took them from him again just to offer a deal that basically screamed trap.

And Kurapika agreed.

Because maybe, he was completely insane and out of it.

I must have lost it.

As if on auto pilot, Kurapika removed his shoes, removed the bodyguard attire and everything else to replace it with his pajamas. He cleaned his desk, stored the wine he most definitely wouldn't dwell on today and brushed his teeth. It could have felt like a normal night again until his phone rang. Now it was pretty obvious this would be the promised information sent by Chrollo packed into one SMS.

Kurapika didn't hesitate clicking on the familiar number.

Just get done with it.

But what Kurapika read sounded very far away from just "getting done with it quickly"". It was a bundle of informations.

"Your name is Yena Luksan. Yena Luksan is a 22 year old woman who is married to her husband Cecil Luksan and they are said to be quite a strange pair. It has become very apparent in the past that Mrs. Luksan married Mr. Luksan for his money and the luxury he offered her. Mr. Luksan is a gifted pianist, his wife doesn't seem to excel at anything, unfortunately. Mrs. Luksan is of astonishing beauty. You resemble her quite well."

Kurapika stopped reading after the word "woman".

A woman. The person he was supposed to take the identity of was a woman. Chrollo chose this. Knowingly Kurapika was in fact, a man. Was this mockery? Kurapika felt so irritated he couldn't tell. The underlying compliment of his looks missed him entirely.

"The ship will sail to the Dark Continent in a week. We will meet at Padokeas harbor at 8 pm. Don't worry about the clothes, I organized some that fit Yena Luksans image."

Oh my god.

This was too much. So Kurapika played a woman Chrollo already picked the clothes for? No.

Chrollo thought Kurapika would play a woman he already picked the clothes for.

Only over my dead body.

Violently, the Kurta shook his head as though Chrollo could see it from the other side of the screen. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise him anymore if he actually could. This also was the end of the SMS. Meaning Chrollo really thought he had given Kurapika every piece of information he needed. Almost shaking from rage, the blonde replied.

"No."

Chrollo replied shortly after.

"Do you want me to kill another person to steal the identity from? it was rather difficult finding people that resemble us."

Ah yes. Kurapika forgot Chrollo was merciless and killed whenever it was convenient. His rage level had already hit space, there was no more room to get even angrier at this point. This was some fucked up game to Chrollo and again, Kurapika had no choice but to play along. There was no room for negotiation if it meant killing another innocent person.
