Chloe:
My eyes slowly opened as the morning light started to hit the room. I rubbed my eyes and sat up on the bed before stretching and letting out a loud yawn. I groaned in annoyance when I remembered I had school. I would say the only good thing about school is my friends.
Once I had my little wake up-stretch-yawn-rub eyes-groan routine, I got up from my bed and walked into the bathroom.
With my eyes still shut because of how tired I was, I brushed my teeth. I splashed my face a couple of times to see if that would wake me up before I grabbed my towel and hung it by the door, hopping in the shower.
As soon as I was done, I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in my fluffy towel, stepping out of the bathroom and turning my radio on, blasting the song Give Your Heart A Break by Demi Lovato. I sang along to the song while stepping into my closet and picking out my outfit for the day. Light blue skinny jeans with my black converse and my favorite t-shirt that says 'I Hate Mondays'.
I don't even know if today is Monday but I really love expressing my feelings...especially about Mondays. I mean am I right? Yes? No?...OK, I'll shut up now.
I grabbed my bag and quickly turned off my radio, checking my reflection in the mirror one last time before running my fingers through my hair and rushing downstairs. I'm not exactly a morning person but today I'm very excited and happy because it's my little sister's birthday. She's turning ten. My baby grows up so fast.
*Wipes fake tear*
My mouth started watering as soon as I smelled delicious pancakes and bacon. I walked over towards the table noticing my parents and my little sister already sitting at the table. I sneaked up behind my sister before reaching over and covering her eyes. "Who's the birthday girl?" I asked while grinning. She giggled before turning around to give me a hug. "Happy birthday, Sofia" I said while ruffling her hair and squeezing her tighter.
Thanks" she said before pulling back from the hug.
"I have an awesome present for you after school but you have to be a good girl and do all your homework, okay?" I told her, poking her nose.
"Okay" she nodded with a big smile.
I smiled before sitting down, turning towards my parents. "Morning mom and dad" I told them while grabbing my plate.
"Good morning, sweetie" my mom said.
My dad smiled and then we started eating. My family has always been a happy united family. Everything we do, we always do it together as a family and I love that. I'm half Spanish because my dad's parents are from Puerto Rico. So yes I speak Spanish, but not often. Only when I don't want someone to understand me or when I want to mess around with the girls. But Lesley understands since part of her family is from Cuba.
The doorbell rang and I quickly finished eating before grabbing my bag and getting up. "Bye mom, bye dad" I said while giving them each a kiss on the cheek.
"Good luck at school today" my dad called out.
"Thanks. Bye Sofia. Be good" I said while hugging her and heading for the door.
I quickly stepped out of the house and saw Lesley waiting for me in her car. I obviously don't have a car yet but my parents said they would buy me one soon so I'm really excited about that. I walked over towards Lesley's car and once I got inside, she turned towards me with a big smile. "Hey" she greeted me.
