The first month of university had flown by and the restless nights that Summer had been experiencing were only due to her recklessness regarding her social life. Tonia was definitely a social butterfly with the ability to go out every single day of the week without fail. But as the duo had been inseparable, Summer was forced to go wherever Tonia went and this led to Summer sacrificing her sleep schedule.

Summer also did not want her grades to be affected, so she started to slightly distance herself from Tonia and focus more on her school work.

Summer went to every class without fail but she did have alternative motives, she wished to see the Professor every week. Sometimes she would walk past his office, just to steal a peak of him grading papers or working confidently on something on his laptop.

After introducing herself to him that one drowsy Wednesday, Summer definitely noticed that she spotted the professor more than usual. But she did not complain. She wished that she could get to know him a little more, so that is why she had decided to go to his office hours and let him assess her mock essay.

She had known that she did not need help with that assignment as her personal tutor already said that it was amazing but Summer just wanted validation from her beautiful professor.

Tristan had waited in anticipation for the student and had double-checked that he looked okay. He was certainly nervous to be in such a small room with Summer and would only hope that he would not mess up on anything.

After checking his hair one more time, someone knocked on his door.

"Come in!"

Summer had walked in and Trisitan's breath had momentarily stopped. He was stunned. She wore a tight yellow dress that hugged her figure and black boots adorned her feet. Her beautiful curly hair was fastened into a ponytail.

"Hello," Summer said whilst taking in the professor. She walked to his desk and gave him her assignment to review. Then sat down.

Tristan had taken the essay and began to read it, however he was distracted. The student was watching him read it, which made him temporarily break out in a sweat. He tried to calm his nerves and stop his hand from visibly shaking to a decree which would be alarming to the student sitting opposite to him.

Despite his never-ending nerves, Tristan noticed that Summer's essay was good, not just good but amazing- one of the best practice essays he'd seen from a first-year student in a while.

In an attempt not to stare down the professor, Summer was taking in the rest of his office. It was fairly bleak and he did not decorate it like her war studies professor. There were no pictures or posters on the walls and all he seemed to have as decorations was stacks of dusty books in some corners. "Your analysis is amazing."

Summer looked at Mr Ambrose in shock, although she was proud of her academic achievements it still always came as a shock when teachers liked her work. Summer had smiled to herself taking in the praise shyly.

"Thank you."

An awkward silence had filled the office as Summer could not think of anything else to fill it with. Ambrose took notice of this, "I also read some of your articles you've been publishing for the Townshall paper, and I must say it is definitely... amazing."

Summer did not know what else to say... she was certainly getting gifted in academic praises that afternoon. In order to sever the attention from herself, she complimented Tristian's book collection and told him about her almost alarming obsession with Jane Austen after spotting pride and prejudice sitting in the collection.

Tristan felt like he was falling in love and he knew that he was knees deep.

Days after, the professor had spotted Summer working in the library by herself and he could not help but stop and stare.

He hid behind the shelves of books and watched her for ages... and what felt like hours.

He knew that he could not keep watching her from afar whilst letting his ever-growing obsession flourish. And he knew that he wanted more. And he would get more more... no matter how wrong it was.

Summer and Tonia's Saturday had not been going to plan. Firstly the duo was out of money... and they were broke. Dirty broke.

Secondly, Tonia was drunk. Tonia had invited Summer to go to the pub with other history students and Tonia just kept the drinks going. It would not be a bad thing if Tonia was not an emotional drunk with the ability to cry and complain about everything they came into contact with.

Unfortunately, Summer had to deal with her that night.

Despite poverty basically being at her doorstep... she had to use her last 20 pounds on an Uber for the pair. Unfortunately, every Uber that Summer had requested seemed to reject her offer even after it went through, and she had begun to feel agitated. With the cold air seemingly freezing her bones, and having to juggle an emotional drunk was definitely making Summer feel like going to sleep and not waking up.

Summer had sat her and Tonia on the side of the road whilst she took some deep breaths to prevent an anxiety attack from assaulting her.

After recovering, she looked up at a car stopping right in front of her. They rolled down their windows; however, out poked her history professor.

Summer was stunned. What would he be doing around here?

"Do you need any help?"

Summer and Tonia looked at the professor in shock, Summer was at a loss for words. "Yes!" Tonia replied and immediately got up to go in the direction of the car without question.

Ambrose had a beautiful black car that looked so expensive that Summer started questioning the salary that professors at Townshall University made.

"I can drive you guys back to campus."

Summer found the whole situation weird. Obviously, Tristan was being nice by offering them a ride, but why would he be out around here at this time? Whilst those thoughts plagued her mind she also reminded herself that the professor had been nothing but kind to her and she should have no reason to doubt his intentions. Also, he was really hot.

"That would be nice, thank you." Summer curtly replied and looked out the window.

Summer had met his gaze in the rearview mirror and immediately looked away.
