That night we went to bed, and then in the morning we started to look up information about Pinocchio.
Kai: all the books say the same thing: a wooden boy, and then he turned into a real boy
Emma: what about the brothers Grimm
Kai: this is different from what the books have
Hudson: what does it say
Kai: as Pinocchio turned into a real boy, he created a truth glasses to see who was lying, and the brothers Grimm deemed it too powerful, so they took it and hid them.
Emma: wow... Nova, you found the book
Nova: got it
Hudson: the story of Rumpelstiltskin
Story
In 1812 the brothers Grimm discover the story about a small man who can spin straw into gold; when he helped out a woman, he always took her firstborn. Until one day he fell in love with a maiden, but she was in love with a prince. So Rumple helped her, thinking she would forget about the prince and fall in love with him, but that did not happen. She married the prince, and then Rumple's heart became black and filled with hatred. That night during a storm, Rumplestiltskin came for the baby; they pleaded with him for them to keep the baby. But Rumple did not want to, so he gave them an ultimatum: you have 3 days, and each day I will come here; if you can't guess my name, the baby shall be mine. They compiled a list of possible names to guess on the first day; they fail and also on the second day. The king ordered one of his men to investigate, and he followed Rumple to where he lived, and he was singing, and that's when he heard his name. He went back quickly to the castle and told the king his name, and when they said it, the ground below him started to shake, and Rumple disappeared, never to be seen again. He wanted the Brothers Grimm to plead to change his life, and they told him no because it would disrupt the balance between good and evil, and that's when he did it—he sacrificed his soul for eternal life. So he can get happily ever after, he thinks he deceived.
Emma: So you're saying
Kai: Rumpelstiltskin in our
Nova: principal
Hudson: so what does he do with the baby when he gets them
Turn and look at him
Hudson: Am I the only one thinking it
Kai: Ok, we need to find Pinocchio's glasses.
Nova: it's on the mantel in the living room
Everyone: What?
Nova: if you guys dust in a while, you will know
Hudson: that easy
Emma: Too easy. Don't touch it; it has a self-destruct mechanism in it. Get me the Grim War.
Kai: ok
Emma: how did the brothers Grimm sealed it off
Kai: Here it's a color magazine. What color is the color of truth?
Hudson: blue
Emma: Ok, Hudson. you can take it
