------------
In which Gojō Satoru is best friends with a certified vixen, Minamoto Sayuri who is on par with him.
"I don't like disobedient dog...
Sayuri glances to Gojo, sighing softly. She was now in the infirmary, sitting on a chair with her palms rested on her thighs.
She was fine like always despite the bandages here and there. Shōko had lent her some spare clothes to replace her torn up ones.
But—
"You don't have to stick to my side all the time, Toru.."
Gojō was sitting across her, with his arms crossed as if acting stern with her. He wasn't taking it, stubborn crossing his arms and puffing his cheeks, being overly dramatic (in Sayuri's perspective).
"No. I could've lost you, Yuri.." He says, solemnity in his voice. "You're.. You're all I have left.. I don't want to lose you.." For a short moment, he pauses before he sighs softly.
Sayuri understood his sentiment, hovering her fingers over the taped gauze covering the wound on her forehead.
Gojō still grumbled to himself, being pouty. "You really should be careful.. I get that you're 'indestructible' and all, but you're still human, Yuri..."
He glances over to the bandages on her forehead. "I know that every wound still leaves it's mark on your mind. I know that each one hurts a lot."
Sayuri gazes at him before she smiled softly, nodding. "Okay, okay. I'll try to be more careful..."
"You better." He cuts in, a mix of frustration and affection in his tone. "Hmph.. You're still the same old Sayuri, always acting so nonchalant.."
Gojō, being the way that he is, was never so troubled by situations like these. However, he always had a foreboding feeling that something was bound to happen, especially to Sayuri. He couldn't risk it. Never again.
For Sayuri, this may be just a normal occurrence, but to Gojō, it wasn't. He knew she was strong, that she was fully capable of protecting herself. But despite this, he had always been worried.
Sayuri was already too much of a curse magnet to begin with. She was hella strong but there were numerous forces conspiring against her, both in their world and normal society.
----
"Toru, I'll head off to Chiyoda for a bit.." Sayuri tells him, standing up for her seat.
She walks over to the nearby table and picks her coat up, sliding the sleeves through her arms before starting to button it up.
Gojō perks up at this, glancing up at her. He tilted his head to the side, curious as to why Sayuri was leaving.
"Why?" He asks absentmindedly.
Sayuri pauses at this, turning to his direction as she adjusted her coat. She chuckles softly. "For my job, silly. I may be a sorcerer but I am still a licensed therapist, you know?"
He scoffs at this, a playful smile forming on his face. "Why? A therapist? You know.. I never pegged you to become one, Yuri.." He says, leaning against the wall.
Sayuri grinned, shaking her head in amusement.
"Well, the world has its surprises.." Sayuri replies, tucking her hands into her pockets before fishing her phone out.
Gojō just sighs in response. "Okay, fine. Just go. But don't forget to text me, alright? I'll pick you up after work.."
Sayuri hums in response. "Sure. Don't worry about it, I'll make sure to check you in on things.."
She smiles at Gojō which he returns with equal genuineness. After fixing her appearance, she walks out of the infirmary and heads off to work, leaving Gojō there contemplating about everything.
----
Gojō was now inside the morgue of Jujutsu Tech alongside Ijichi. Yuuji's dead body was laid down on the cold and hard metal bed.
He was in a VERY sour mood. He was excited to pick up Sayuri from her work and tried to contact her. However, on a short notice, she was immediately called in by the higher-ups. This was getting more and more shitty than it already was.
His day couldn't possibly get any worse than this.
He had heard that Sayuri and Sukuna fought. He knew that Sayuri was capable enough to beat the King of Curses in his own game but—
The fact that they sent her solely for the purpose of killing her and the students was pissing him off in every way possible.
And the fact that Yuji was here, lying lifelessly on the metal bed of the morgue.
"Maybe I should just kill all the higher-ups.." He said calmly, a dark look on his face.
The door suddenly opens, the sounds of heels clanking. "Wow. You're suddenly being emotional for once.."
He immediately recognized who it was.
Gojō looks up, seeing none other than Ieiri Shōko, one of his friends back in high school and the doctor of Jujutsu Tech.
She entered with her usual calm attitude, playing with a strand of her hair as she spoke to him.
Ijichi, upon noticing her arrival immediately perks up at her, greeting her with utmost respect and admiration. "Ieiri-san!"
"Don't be so harsh on Ijichi-kun. You know how he's always in between you and the higher-ups.." Shoko says, smiling as nonchalantly as she always did.
Ijichi, in his own little world, was smiling blissfully. Gojō just grinned, being his usual laid back self, making remarks that highlighted his vision for the Jujutsu world.
Shoko put on a medical mask and starts putting some surgical gloves on, adjusting it.
"I'm going to start now. So, are you guys just going to watch?" She says, glancing to Gojō and Ijichi.
However, as she did so, Gojō and Ijichi were focused on the direction behind her. Ijichi looked pale, clearly stricken with bewilderment.
"G-G-G-G-Gojo-san, H-H-H-H-He's alive.....!"
Meanwhile, Gojō just looked amazed and amused at the same time. He was intrigued by this.
"Eh? What happened?" Yuji asked before he glances down at his bare body. He had a bewildered look on his face as he did so. "Woah. My dicks' hanging out.."
Gojō laughs lightly, grinning ear to ear. "Well, look at what we have here.."
Yuji just looked confused, glancing around the morgue. "Eh? Where am I? And what happened to Megumi and Minamoto-sensei??"
Shōko sighs in disappointment, tugging her mask down slightly. "Bummer.. I was really looking forward to it.."
Shōko then heads off to the nearby cabinet to get a hospital gown for Yuji to wear in the meantime.
Gojō grins as he glanced at Yuji. He knows very well that Sayuri'd be really glad to hear this news.
