CHAPTER FIVE!
ALEJANDRA SMILED AT Violetta. After quickly finding out that Federico has been staying with the Castillo Family, she had knew this information but it wasn't important until now. "He flirted with me, Vilu! And he's this busy person who probably doesn't do commitments, and I'm not ready for a commitment yet."
"Fede's not like that, Ale," Violetta said. "He's an all or nothing guy, that's why he and Ludmila broke up. She didn't want a commitment, he did."
"Backtrack, he dated the devil incarnate? That means he'd date anyone, and Vilu, are you really going to let your friend find another guy— could be someone stranger who works for the cartel or something, to have a rebound relationship with? Clearly, Fede's a good guy, since your dad likes him," Alejandra pouted. "I will tell him what my plan is, and if he doesn't want what I have to offer, then I'll drop it and go for the next hot guy I see."
"You know I can't tell you what to do. The both of you are adults, and can handle whatever happens. But Fede is a really good guy and is not rebound material," Violetta stated. "Maybe go into the relationship without rebounding in mind."
"Okay, he won't be a rebound, and I won't treat him as one," Alejandra promised. "But he was definitely flirting with me."
"He was," Violetta admitted. "He asked for your number—"
"Did you give him it?" Alejandra interrupted. "Vilu, you would be the greatest friend if you gave him it. Did you?"
"I did, but his manager takes his phone when he does interviews or any professional jobs," Violetta explained. "But he'll be at home for dinner, if you'd like to jo—"
"All you had to say was dinner at home. Olga makes the best anything," Alejandra said. "So I have your approval to go after him? He's like your best friend and brother."
"You don't need my approval, Ale. And you'd be a step up after his last relationship. Just don't break his heart or let him break yours. I won't be able to choose between the two of you."
And that's how Alejandra sat across Federico at dinner. She was Violetta's guest, so she didn't want to flat out flirt with Federico like she wanted to. But she listened intently anytime Federico would talk. He could be reading the dictionary, she would listen as if it was the most interesting thing ever.
"Thank you for having me over, Mr Castillo," Alejandra smiled at German.
"You're welcome anytime, Camila," German responded.
"Alejandra, dad," Violetta corrected.
"Right," German gave a smile to the young woman. "Well, you are welcome anytime..." he finished before leaving the three young adults in the dining room.
"How did your interview go today?" Alejandra turned towards Federico. She leaned her elbows on the table and focused on the Italian. "I was shuffling through the radio earlier and caught some of it," she lied. She listened to the entire interview. "You have a new song coming out, right?"
"Desperate," Violetta coughed out. Alejandra glared at her friend before looking at Federico again, waiting for his answer.
"Yeah, it's called Stranger," Federico responded. "I could give you a preview, before it comes out. If you'd like to hear it," he motioned to the piano in the living room. "C'mon." He stood up. Alejandra gave a look to Violetta, who motioned her to follow Federico.
Federico's fingers glided across the piano, and in the back of her mind was what Francesca had said a few days ago, if a guy can play guitar and the piano, he's going to be good with his fingers. And that's all she could think about before he started singing. She leaned against the piano watching him.
"We used to love, we used to feel it, said I was everything you needed, and when you kissed me I believed it. That's why I hurt so bad. Yeah you got me looking like a fool comin' up to you. Whatever happened to the girl that I just knew? Never thought that you could be, be so cruel. You treated me like a temporary tattoo, after everything that we've been through. You got me thinking so hard, What did I do?" Federico sang. He had a great voice, and it was no wonder how he won that YouMix competition and became an overnight sensation.
"Wow," Alejandra spoke up when he finished. It was only a few lines— not the entire song, and she wanted to whole song to be dropped so she could listen to it all the time. "You wrote that?"
"Yeah, it's about— a recent ex," Federico admitted. Ludmila.
"Ah, I just got out of a relationship recently. Very recent, actually," Alejandra admitted, sitting beside him in the piano bench. "But I'm not nearly talented enough to write a song like that. I wrote a song recently and got to sing it—"
"Was it the one at the show? It was a great song," Federico stated. "I wish it was a song I was able to download and listen to more than once."
"You're kidding."
"I'm not," Federico said. "Everyone I know at the studio is already so talented, including you. I'm sure if you had auditioned a year or two ago, I probably wouldn't be the YouMix star. It would be you."
"You're just saying that so I'd like you."
"No, I'm saying it because it's true. My record label is looking for a duet partner for this one song—"
"Vilu's a part of YouMix, have you asked her?" Alejandra questioned.
"Vilu is talented, yes. But she's like a sister to me, and it'll be odd to do a love song with her. You, on the other hand, are just as talented and not like my sister," Federico said. "You don't have to say yes or no, right now. They're giving me a week to find the perfect female voice. Just think about it, yeah?"
"Yeah, I'll think about it," Alejandra agreed. The studio was meant to help their musical careers, and this would definitely help. And she couldn't say no to him.
I'll also be using Soy Luna songs... tbh, I prefer soy Luna songs more, but probably bc ruggero has more songs in soy luna.
and I know it's not Sunday, but I'm going to be so busy tomorrow that I don't want to forget to update (like I have done in the past, multiple times.)
