"Dad!" I cut him off because of embarrassment. "Stop overthinking. We'll just do assignments and bake some snacks. Wala ng iba," kumbinsi ko sa daddy ko.

Paalis na siya ng papuntang opisina. Nauna si Mommy dahil may importanteng lakad. And here I am, convincing my dad to allow Rejo to enter my room. Alam kong masyado akong matapang para gawin 'yon, pero wala naman talaga kaming ibang gagawin. My intentions are pure and honest!

My father looks problematic. Hindi alam ang dapat sabihin.

"Hiraya..."

I sighed. "Po?"

"Please, don't take advantage of my love for you. Respect me..." he said seriously while looking at me straight through my eyes.

Tumango ako. "I promise, dad. No other things, just acads and baking."

Tumango siya, problemado pa rin. He stepped forward to kiss me on my forehead before he went inside his car. Binaba n'ya ang bintana ng sasakyan n'ya. Handa naman nang sumunod sa kaniya ang isang SUV na may dalawang gwardya.

"I'll message Diego about this."

My lips formed into a thin line. Lagot.

"Okay... po."

He chuckled. "He has to know..."

Tumango ako. "Okay... po." Ngumuso ako, sakaling magbago ang isip ni daddy. Baka kasi magalit na naman si Kuya.

"He has to know. I'll text Trevor too."

After that, his car roared away. Pumasok naman na ako para makaligo rin at makapag-ayos ng kwarto sandali. When I was done, I messaged Rejo.

Pwede namang kanina ko pa sinabi pero baka biglaang nand'yan na siya, 'di pa ako ready.

Okay po. I'll be there quickly :)

I giggled but I stopped in a snap when Kuya Mooze appeared on my screen. He's calling! Kinabahan kaagad ako. Grabe ang pintig ng puso ko. I answered it after a few rings.

"H-hello, Kuya..." I whispered. Napaupo ako sa kama ko, malalim ang paghinga.

"Dad texted me."

"Yes... Uh, we'll just do our homework," I said softly. "Pumayag si daddy..."

A long silence.

Magsasalita na sana ako pero nagulat ako sa sinabi n'ya. My eyes literally grew wide.

"Okay. Don't lock your door. Mamayang gabi pa ako makakauwi."

Natigilan talaga ako. I was expecting him to get mad and disapprove. This is new! Simula nang matapos ang bakasyon, wala naman siyang sinasabi sa akin pero ramdam ko pa rin ang inis n'ya.

"O-okay... Uhm, thanks, Kuya."

He hung up! Maiinis dapat ako pero dahil pumayag siya, pinalampas ko 'yon.

Mabagal na pumasok ang sasakyan ni Rejo sa gate namin. He parked inside our garage while I waited for him outside. Ngiting-ngiti siya habang papalapit sa akin. He was carrying a lot of things when he hugged me gently but with longing. His soft manly scent went straight to my nostrils. I chuckled.
