1. Sam June
They didn't know when it began, but during their daily FaceTime call, they both realized they were slowly falling . The problem was no one knew they were even talking to each other.
So after The NWSL season ended, Kristie headed back home to Boston to spend time with her family and catch up with some of her friends back in her hometown. She wasn't sure whether to tell her family about Sam or not. The moment she arrived back in her childhood home and greet her parents she went straight to her room using the excuse that she was tired from the flight but instead she ended up calling Sam, they talk, banter back and forth, as she gave a tour of her childhood bedroom. As she was laughing at some stupid jokes Sam made she was intrupted by a loud knock on the door.
"Krachetta" Sam opens her door excitedly.
" Sam?!?!" Kristie said in surprise, She looked back at her phone to see other Sam surprise face like she was a deer caught in the headlights.
"Hey, how are you?" Sam greeted her sister giving her a hug. "Who's on the phone?" Sam asked trying to peek through Kristie phone.
"Oh. no one, Just Jane" She quickly hangs up "Oh? looks like we lost connection" She pockets her phone.
"Ok?" Sam said suspiciously her eyes narrowing trying to figure out what Kristie was hiding, but decided to let it slide for now "Mom said dinners ready by the way" She tells her sister.
"I'll catch up still need to freshen up first" Kristie smiled as Sam slowly leaves her room still looking at her weirdly.
Kristie quickly grabs her phone to text Sam back apologizing for hanging up all of the sudden. Sam replied by saying 'it's all good we can talk later enjoy hanging out with your family.. not to much though since I'm not there" Kristie smiled back returning her phone back to her pocket and leaving her room a smile still splattered wide in her face.
As she turn to head to the stairs she bumped into a taller figure "So who's it really on the phone" Sam interrogates her, standing by the top of the stairs with her arm cross.
"Jane, my teammate, you know her" Kristie lied.
"Yeah okay,.... it didn't sound like her though?" Sam insists.
"Who... did it sound like then?" Kristie asks trying to keep her voice neutral.
"Definitely someone with an accent an Australian accent by my guess" Sam replies.
"She was putting on one, that's why I was laughing" She explained moving past as she head down ready to be over with the conversation.
"This conversation isn't over yet" Sam replied chasing her sister down the stairs.
2. Caitlin and Mac
Sam was in the middle of thier team dinner with the malitads during the international break and rather that eat she was more occupied on her phone chatting with Kristie.
"Who you texting" Caitlin ask teasingly noticing the huge grin on Sam face.
"Your mum" Sam replied without looking back.
"Wow very mature Sam" Caitlin replied.
"Yeah whatever" Sam replied nonchalant more focus on the conversation with Kristie . Caitlin looked at Sam trying study what on earth happened to her best friends and who's making her giddy.
"Psst" Caitlin trying to get Sam attention again.
"Yes Caitlin" Sam sighs.
"Who is it? come on tell me" Caitlin begged.
