As the twins grew older, their priorities changed Maya as always, being the girly type, developed into a makeup-loving, clothes-buying, trendy kind of a shopoholic. She had interest in the latest fashion, jewelry, trends. She would have the latest bags the latest nail colours, shades everything. Her fashion sense was the best, every body loved her clothing and style. There was not one boutique launch she wouldn't attend. Her life was full of colours and she loved it that way.
On the other hand Haya, was more of a career oriented studious intellectual. She had made up her mind and she was devoted in completing her task. She would become a travel journalist. Her love for nature inspired her to persue journalism and that too of traveling around Pakistan and discovering the beautiful places it had.
We had left their story off on 7th January 2015, now lets see what is up in their lives.....
Haya◆☆◆ 12th Sep'17
"Maya quit it please we're hell tired." I moan from behind as Maya makes her way through the racks full of clothes to find her self the best piece.
"Haya Haya Haya!" She exclaims. "You will never understand will you? The pressure one has when they are the ambassador of style." I roll my eyes. She continues walking through the store picking up two tank tops along the way.
Huh! This is ridiculous its been 5 hours we've been shopping. This was supposed to be a Spend-time-with-friends type of a hangout not I need-to-redesign-my-wadrobe hangout.
"But we are humans unlike you!! come on you've five more minutes and after that ill leave you to go to the food court, I'm hungry." I complain.
Maya turns around. "Stop acting like a baby okay? Go find Zara and Javeria and meet me at the counter."
Ughh finally!! We will leave this hell. I seriously don't understand Maya and I have figured that I never will. She is crazy about clothes and shopping and latest trends. Honestly I only have two pair of jeans and like three shirts to go with them, I DO NOT mind wearing the same twice. But my sister!! Well she needs 20 different scarfs to go with the same dress. I guess even though we've grown older but still both of us are different.
I make my way past the clothing section and try to find where the other two are. Today we had planned on spending time together me, Javeria, (my best friend) yes we have grown up to become two besties, one favour I owe Maya big time. She made this happen. Zara and Maya. The four of us stay together and we make a nice group. Through the years I have learned to come out of my shell and speak up, but I still have my weak moments and struggle with initiating conversation, but with these three I'm okay.
Zara who is Maya's bff is just like her, a shopaholic. We came here to chill out, while we have been less chilling out and more shopping.
When I reach the accessories section I find a Zara trying out different hats and admiring them in the mirror while Javeria is looking for nice bags. I mentally smack my head.
"Come on you two shows over I'm extra hungry." I say when I reach them. Javeria turns around noticing my presence and shows me the three bags she likes. "Which one should I get Haya?" She asks me.
"Umm. I dont know"
"Oh come on pick one and then ill spare you. We'll leave for food okay?" She sure knows how to get her own way.
"Oh okay show me" I examine the two bags I have in my hand. One is a nice copper colour with green beads sown in the formation of flowers while the other one is blue with silver stones. I decide on the copper one and Javeria smiles. Now we both turn towards Zara who is having an internal battle with her self.
