New Company

I arrived at my new workplace, which was a branch of the Kim Groups owned by Kim Taehyung, the heir to the company.

I approached the receptionist to ask for directions to the boss's office. She kindly guided me to the 9th floor. As we entered the office block, I noticed the temperature drop and felt an eerie, dark aura. However, it wasn't new to me as I had experienced similar sensations before. The boss was sitting at his desk, typing away on his computer with his eyes glued to the keyboard. "Excuse me, sir. This is Roseanne. She has been transferred to our branch," the receptionist informed him before leaving.

He looked up at me and gave a sly smile, saying "Never thought that you would come back." I rolled my eyes and replied, "Sir, nice to meet you again. I'm Roseanne, a new employee." He turned and said, "Drop the formality, we know each other. But why are you here? You already have your own company." I sighed and said, "I just want to gain more experience before I put my name on my company. So please, Kim Taehyung, let me work here, and don't look at me like that. Your charm won't work on me."

"Nor do I want it to work on you. I already have a beautiful, kind, sweet, and loveable woman in my life. But for some reason, she seems sad and depressed most of the time without me around. Her name is J--" I rolled my eyes and interrupted him, saying "Oh, stop being so whipped and just give me my work."

"He gave me an annoyed look and said, 'So desperate to work. Okay fine, your block's on the 8th floor and Kim Jina is your mate. Just wait until she comes.' He then focused on his work again after making a call. I took a seat on the chair in front of him.

After a few minutes, a lady peeked into the room through the door and asked, 'May I know why you called me, sir?' Taehyung motioned for her to come in. As she stepped in, I couldn't help but notice her beauty. She had fox-like eyes, a diamond-shaped face, flawless hair, and rose-pink lips. She exuded confidence but also seemed a bit scared of the dark aura man."

"Kim Jina, she's Roseanne, your new colleague in the company, and Rosé, she's Kim Jina, your colleague here. Jina, please show her your work and explain what she needs to do." Taehyung then turned to me and said, "Rosé, don't be rude. You have a week to get started with the company. And one more thing don't play along with everyone's behaviour or they'll get fired."" Taehyung said the last sentence as a warning, then gestured for us to leave the room. I went over to the lady, and we both left the room.

"Hey, girl, do you think our boss knows you? He seemed to be nicer to you than he is with us. I'm just curious," Jina asked. "Yes, we were good friends six years ago, so he knows me a bit," I replied. "Nice meeting you. I hope we get along," Jina said. "Of course, we will," I smiled and stepped into the elevator, knowing that it was just one floor below.

As we were walking towards my block, she shared with me some details about the company and her experience here. Once we reached my block, which was located next to hers, she kindly offered her help and said, "Roseanne, if you need anything, just give me a call. I'm right next door. Also, during lunchtime, I would like you to meet some of my friends if it's okay with you." I replied, "Yes, sure. Just call me Rosé. No need to be too formal." As she left the room, she said goodbye and asked me to get comfortable and meet her at lunch. I sighed and thought to myself, "She's a sweet and talkative person, just like they both were." Then, I sat on my chair and started working.

It has only been a few hours since I started working, but I must say that Taehyung is doing a great job managing the company.

As I was about to get up and look for Jina, the door of my block opened, and Jina was standing there. "Are you hungry? It's lunchtime, and as I said, we'll have lunch together," she asked. "Yes, I am hungry, and I was just about to look for you when you came," I replied. We then headed towards the elevator, and the cafeteria was located on the first floor. As we sat down to have lunch, Jina told me about her friends.

We arrived at the cafeteria and found a table where two men and a lady were seated. Jina sat next to a man with a round face and motioned for me to sit beside her. As I sat down, she introduced everyone, "Guys, this is Roseanne. Roseanne, this is Jeon Jungkook," pointing to a guy sitting opposite me. He looked handsome. "And this is Kwon Kia," pointing to the girl sitting next to Jungkook, "and this is Suyoung, my boyfriend," pointing to the guy next to her.

I smiled at everyone and said, "Nice to meet you all. Jina, I thought you were single."

"Well, she isn't single, but I am. Wanna catch up?" JK commented, followed by Kia hitting his head and saying, "Don't take his words seriously. He's a playboy."

"Oh! I see, but sorry Jungkook, I'm not into playboys," I exclaimed.

"You eventually will fall, I know," Jungkook said dramatically. The rest of the lunch went quite well. We were talking and eating.

After lunch, I went back to my block and sat on the chair, sighing. Everything went well, but when Jungkook said those words that I'll eventually fall for him, they never left my mind.

?? said, "Just wait, I'll make you fall for me deeply." I replied, "And I'll see that I won't."

Those words I said turned out to be wrong, but this time I won't make the same mistake.

I sighed again and started doing my work.
