Meeting again

The Next Day

I have a strong feeling that something weird is going to happen today.

Lost in my thoughts, I entered the elevator and pressed the 8th-floor button when someone stopped the lift and joined me.

??- Good morning, Miss Roseanne. Now my day will go well.

I just looked at the person, sighed, and shook my head.

Rosé:- Morning Jungkook.

I responded and once again found myself lost in thought. He kept staring at me until we reached our floor. Without saying a word, I got out of the elevator and went towards my block. When I was about to open the door of my block, I heard a voice from our head's office and stopped. "Why haven't you completed this file yet? I told you to finish it before I return. What have you been doing for the past month?" The voice sounds so familiar, but it can't be that person. Forget it.

I went inside my block and started working.

I heard a knock on my door and saw Jina peeking inside. I invited her in and asked her to take a seat. She walked in, settled herself in the chair in front of my table, and started.

Jina:- Rosé, our head would like to meet with you after lunch to discuss the report you submitted yesterday.

Rosé:- Okay, thanks for informing me.

Jina:- Well Rosé, should I come with you? It's your first time meeting our head and she has a hot temper. Would you like me to accompany you?

She nervously spoke.

Rosé:- You don't have to Jina. She won't surpass me. (I muttered the last line.)

Jina:- Why? What if she is not impressed with your work and fires you? Although she can't do that because you did a really good job, and you do know our CEO.

Rosé:- She won't do that, and don't bring up the CEO in the chat. What if I know him? I will not get fired. I'm a hardworking person, and she should be happy with my work.

Jina:- That's true; she should be because it's the first time an employee has completed a file on their first day on the job. How did you do that within a day?

Rosé:- Well, you know, I just wanted to complete the work as quickly as possible.

Jina:- That's nice. (Stood up from her chair.) Now, come on, let's have our lunch. I'm starving.

I stood up from my chair, and we headed to the cafeteria where we saw Suyoung, Kia, and Jungkook already sitting at a table with their food. After settling ourselves, we started eating when Kia began speaking.

Kia said, "Guys, our head is back from her break. She was yelling at me this morning for not completing my files, even though I thought I had finished them."

Jungkook and Suyoung looked at her and said, "It was you?!" Kia simply nodded.

Rosé:- It was you! Why was she shouting even though you had completed your files?

Kia was about to speak, but Jungkook interrupted:- You know, Rosé, our boss is never satisfied with our work. She always tells us to redo our files. She can be a bit self-obsessed and demanding.

Jina refused:- "Come on, Jungkook, she's not like that. Yes, she can be hot-headed and makes us redo our work, but that's why our department has been error-free for the past four years and has been in the good books of our CEO."

Kia and Suyoung nodded in agreement, while Jungkook gave her an annoyed look.

Jina:- Or Jungkook are you just irritated because she always ignores you, or because your best friend, her brother, never told you about her? Jungkook gave her a pissed look and focused back on his food, while the rest just laughed.
