"This is your room." Issac opens the door to the bedroom she once shared with her husband.
"Is it to your liking?"
"Are there any other rooms?"
"Y-Yes, but Dracula wished to share this bedroom with you."
Issac Adams's apple bulges as he gulps and Katherine turns to him.
"Mind showing me to another room? I'm typically not a very demanding wife, however, I don't wish to lay in the bed Dracula shared with another." Katherine exits the bedroom, leaving Issac stunned and somewhat afraid to inform his Lord.
------------------------
"And you still showed her the room?!" Dracula yells to Issac who nods.
"Being honest, I can't judge her my lord. She hasn't been here for years and now that she's back she needs to adjust to the new change even though Lisa's gone, my Lord."
Dracula breaks the doorknob slamming her door open to an angry Katherine in her nightgown and wrapped around a silky black robe. Her hair was up in a messy bun with two strands of her long black hair in front of her face, as she looked at her husband in anger.
"What the hell has gotten into you?!"
"As my wife your place is by my side!"
"Yet, for twenty years you had me away by your side and had that mortal by yours!" Katherine spits back, before being met with a harsh slap from her husband's firm hand.
His wife looks up in horror as she sees his teeth grit to one another and his red eyes glare down like daggers ready to stab into a piece of meat.
"M-My lord, maybe it's best to head to bed." Issac attempts to distract Dracula before being kicked out by his lord.
"M-My lord-"
"Out, Issac," Dracula orders his friend who glances for fear for Katherine before leaving them alone.
"The woman I loved died, I had to imprison my son, and now you're being fucking difficult! I should've never wed you. I should've waited for Lisa to come into my life"
Katherine's eyes water at him calling Lisa the woman he loved. At this moment, Katherine knew all her sacrifices and loss meant nothing to her husband who only used her as he liked. Her sobs fill the room as the man she loves finally looks into her eyes. It's when she looks up at his eyes with her own that Dracula realizes what he has done.
Throughout the centuries he had never hit a woman, especially his wife. Her eyes look up at him in fear, heartbreak, and disappointment.
------------------------
"You alright, my lady?" Issac asked Katherine as she stood in front of the fireplace.
"I still love him."
"Pardon me?"
"I...I still love that monster." She laughs turning with teary eyes to Issac.
"I allowed him to turn me and gave my body and life to his. I beared many children for him, yet, he never once showed me any love." Katherine tears up.
"Vivian."
"Who?"
"Our daughter's name," Katherine confesses not knowing her husband was hiding in a corner overhearing their discussion.
"I didn't know you have a daughter with our Lord."
"Neither did he, till today. However, I didn't have her for long."
"How come?" Issac asks wanting to know what happened to Little Vivian.
"A mortal is what happened. A Belmont." Katherine snickers remembering the Belmont that killed her sweet baby girl.
"I left her sleeping-Gosh she looked beautiful when she slept. She looked a lot like Dracula."
Katherine laughs softly tearing up remembering how her daughter even had her father's angry glance.
"She looked so much like him, but more......more pure. I left her and the next thing I knew Carmilla called for me. I ran-" Her hand covers her mouth as a sob threatens to leave her.
"All I saw was red, Issac. Her crib even the blanket I made for her while she was in my womb." Katherine caresses her belly remembering her child's kicks whenever she read Dracula's favorite book to her.
"That Belmont cut my daughter up as if she were an animal being killed by a butcher. So, I did the same to his wife. I cut his child in front of him and made him watch as his wife died and his child died in flames. And want to know what was worse?"
"What, my lady?"
"She was the only of my children to live longer. My sweet Vivian was three months old when she was taken from my arms."
------------------------
He looked down at her peaceful sleeping form. How could someone look so peaceful after having been through so much?
His cold hand caresses her slapped cheek, the sensitivity wakens her up from her slumber, and looks up at her husband who looks down at her. His hand caresses her cheek softly, not wanting to harm her further than what he already did.
"Why Vivian?"
"It means life."
Dracula smiles softly at his wife and before he knows it his hand begins caressing her belly.
"Where?"
"Hmm?"
"Where would she kick?"
"Right where your hand is." Katherine caresses his hand looking down at the spot. Every time, she was pregnant Dracula would always caress the spot and every time the baby would kick elsewhere.
Her husband kneels by the bed kissing the spot softly.
"I don't deserve your forgiveness nor love. All I've done is simply harm you since the moment I wed you." His hands hold her cheeks tightly and closer to him.
"I'm sorry, Katherine. I-"
