In our BATTLE with EVIL...
Skip to 10,000 B.C., where daily life was SURVIVAL;
Food, water, shelter, security, and sex..
Nothing else mattered besides staying alive, and
Enjoying the simple pieces of LIFE.
SURVIVAL was EVERYTHING, and still was not guaranteed.
We can see this in the Ice Age, which brought MAN to near EXTINCTION,
Along with the creatures that God made to live beside humans.
In our PRIMAL days, we practiced PRAYER & MAGIC.
We also brushed up on all categories of SKILLS;
Building, hunting, fishing, cooking, animal taming, farming, gathering goods, forming tribes, swimming, lifting, walking, running and sprinting, etc...
The list goes on, as far as our knowledge of basic skills.
Now, remember the Ancient Greeks, Persians, Chinese, Japanese, Mayans, Incas, Aztecs, Jews, Egyptians, Romans, and every other great ancient civilization.
All of them worked towards the creation of POWERFUL nations.
Two of these nations [Jews and Romans] had a hand in crucifying Jesus Christ.
Speaking of Jesus and His crucifixion,
Let's take a second to realize that reality, and
The turnover into modern history which that event led into..
Betrayal, spilled blood, and a request for an undying faith,
In return for a promise of everlasting LIFE.
Jesus came into the world, and bled for humanity on His way out.
Our modern calendar starts after the death of Jesus,
With the influence being brought on by the Catholic Church, and
Other crusaders of the past...
Think of the events that brought us to this point...
Natural disasters;
Giant warfronts;
Ruthless politics;
Slavery of men and women;
Mistakes, failures and regrets;
Sins and crimes against humanity;
Disobedience of God's will;
Taboo, immoral and selfish pleasures;
We know what was before, and we have yet to see what is next.
In modern history, we have the Crusades,
Where Christians took POWER in many countries,
Pushing the Word of God upon the EARTH and its PEOPLE.
Bronze Age turns to Iron Age..
Vikings, brutes and barbarians...
Medieval times;
Death, destruction and rebuilding,
In lands filled with darkness and endless battles...
Black Death RESETS the world,
Bringing the Renaissance and Industrial Revolution.
America becomes a sovereign nation, and
Natives are pushed out from their homes,
Adapting to a new lifestyle of industry and capitalism.
Some did not even make it out alive to see the change...
World wars erupt;
Financial collapse and renewal cycles through the world..
Cold wars create a dark stillness in the air
After two massive wars create a rough aftermath.
Contemporary times begin;
Capitalism reigns all over the world,
With the dollar being the greatest material form of POWER.
Give it some TIME, and we now arrive at our final destination...
Right here, with you, as you read this book.
How far we have come, and yet how far back we also can go.
It would be nice to travel ahead, but one thing at a time..
Now that we are in the PRESENT moment,
Can you feel the PAST - and all within it-
Within you...?
Will you look towards the FUTURE
With a confidence that you are the sum
Of all ANCESTORS of old, and
All parts and pieces necessary to live in the NOW..?
Even if your confidence falters,
I am here to tell you that you are enough, as you are.
