I need to get out of here...
The silence is intoxicating...
Cold...So cold.
But how do I get out?
I looked around the white-washed room. There isn't anything else inside except my bed.
The white dress covered my body down to my ankles.
I struggled to stand up. I feel like my limbs have been numbed by the loss of too much blood and not enough sleep.
Or did I even sleep at all?
Or is it that I am dreaming right now?
It only took two baby steps till a short rope tied to my left ankle stopped me. I yanked it but I cannot move the heavy steel bed.
Footsteps. I could hear someone out the door.
Somebody? I said. It came out more like a moan than words.
I tried louder but the word caught in my throat before I realized I couldn't speak.
So I improvised.
I grunted and moaned like a madman.
How funny.
How did I even get here?
My giggles echoed around the closed room.
How funny this all is. It is probably just a dream. A dream! When I wake up, I'd be laughing like this for a silly little dream.
The giggles turn to laughter, louder and louder.
Two men in white uniforms entered the room interrupting my moment. I watched them as they slowly creeped near me. Their hands in the position like those taming a wild beast.
So I laughed at their pathetic actions.
Big mistake.
They grabbed my arms first and pushed me down to the floor. I watched as another man walked towards me. I smiled at him. But that smile quickly turned upside down as I saw that it wasn't the man I was expecting.
He grinned at me like a maniac and grabbed on my cheeks hard.
It felt cold...
I couldn't understand why but right there and then I knew I hated him. His hand was close enough to my mouth that I could just...
He yelped as he cradled his slighty bleeding hand. I spitted out some blood that oozed from the bite. But quickly the two men who were restraining me pushed my whole body down on the cold tiled floor and I felt a slight electic current run from the base of my spine up to my brain.
Almost instantly, all turned blank...
But not before I utter a name that calmed me inside...
Marko...
