I declined. I told my dad that I would never marry Rohan and I sat in our garden deep in my thoughts.

"Beta?" Said a feminine voice from behind me.

"Shraddha maa!!" I hugged her tightly.

"Beta, ik you love me and respect me, and I have never asked you for anything but please beta, marry Rohan. It was your dying mom's last wish and my last wish too.

"Okay maa." I said crying.

"Thank you bacha" she hugged me.

"Now get ready your engagement is in 2 hours and happy birthday beta." She said as she walked into the house quarrelling with the staff.

It was my fate and I couldn't do anything about it.

I went upstairs to my room to see my clothes and jewellery laid out on the bed, and two women waiting to do my hair and makeup.

I checked my phone for the first time today and I saw almost 200 Birthday wishes and congratulations on your engagement messages and I didn't have the energy to reply to them.

Her outfit.

I chose the most minimal lehenga out of all of them and I paired it with my mom's locket rather than heavy jewellery.

I started at myself in the mirror as I was alone in my room.

"Abbey Chudail. Tu tayyar hain?" I heard a deep voice, and as I turned around to see, it was Rohan.

"Abbey don't call me chudail. And we're you also forced into this marriage?" I asked.

"Tu bhi??" He said.

Suddenly my smart brain had an idea.

"Mere pas ek idea hai, sunega?" I said

"Batadey."

"How about we make this a contract for one year?"

His face lit up immediately. "Haan yaar bohot sahi idea, abhi k abhi ham contract banadengey."

~•~ Contract ~•~
1.) Stays between only the both of us.
2.) Act cute outside but go back to hating eachother when only eachother are present.
3.) Don't date anyone or fuck anyone till this year ends. (Too risky)

"Bas perfect we can add anything later if we want." I said as we both signed the contract.

"Aur sun. Maa or sab ko batadenge ki we came to terms with this and that we like eachother."

I nodded my head and said "chaley husband ji?"

He scoffed as we made our way downstairs.

Every stared at us in awe.

We went to the stage and exchanged our rings pretending to be happy.
