A sweaty awakening

I practically bolted my self up when I woke up. I had hit my head though on the roof of my car because of this sudden movement.

"Gah. Ow."

I rubbed my head and then noticed the substantial amount of sweat soaked into my clothes and the car seat. Some had even dripped it's way to the floor of my car. Thank god I had taken off my tie before I went to sleep, and thank god for a violin case that could handle some water. Yeah. There was that much sweat. I would have to change into a new pair of my clothing I had.

"Might have to go back to a certain someone to get my clothes cleaned. She isn't going to like this though."

I used my, erm, dirty clothes to clean up the mess as best as I could and then left one of my car windows open to vent the smell. Just had to take the piece of wood I had put there off. Don't ask. I break my windows a lot.

"There. That should do it."

Then I did my thing of using what was in the alleyway for a shower. I had moved a barrel here from in Lackadaisy. Rain would collect in it, and I'd use it to clean myself off. I then used some cheap soap and finally I was clean. Used towel I had hanged on my car, put on my clothes, and then realized a kid was at the entrance to the alleyway and saw ALL of it.

"What the fu... fudge."

I wasn't going to curse in front of a kid again. Last time that happened, I had been beat up by the mom. Wasn't fun. What I did though was grab the book quickly and practically ran my way into the Little Daisy cafe and hoped that the mom wouldn't chase after me once she heard that her sweet little boy watched a man's entire, um, morning routine.

"That was awkward."

'Yeah.' A chuckle.

"You saw the kid the entire time, didn't you?"

Another chuckle. 'Yeah.'

"Should've know something was up once you went quite. You talk a lot."

I then went down into Lackadaisy finally and greeted everyone. They could tell something was up though since I was being a bit more friendly and less of my annoying self for once. They obviously didn't know I had fought for my life for what felt like days.

"Rocky, why are you so not you all of a sudden?"

"What do you mean, Freckle?"

"You're not annoying me, or Ivy, or anyone today."

"Hehe. My antics can't be that annoying."

"Sssss. They kind of are."

"Well that's alright! I just feel very nice today I guess. Um, there was this dream I had last night that really made me appreciate everyone's existence."

A chuckle. "Why can't you have these types of dreams more often?"

I was going to, but he didn't know that.

"Yeah. If you had one before one of our rum runs, maybe freckle and I wouldn't have to be the only ones digging up graves for alcohol."

That was Ivy, and it started off nice, but then she had a 'you should be doing this anyways' tone of voice and face at the end of it.

"Yeah, um, anyways, I'm going into the back to say hi to the band. See you all later."

"Um, bye Rocky."

After I left they talked a bit though.

"Freckle, are we really sure he's telling the truth."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I've had my fair share of bad dreams before, but none of them have been that bad to make me rethink life."

"I guess you're right, but he didn't ask for a favor or anything like he usually does when he gets like this."

"Yeah. Let's watch out for anything suspicious. There must be something else going on besides just bad dreams."
