Fire tossed and turned in his best that night. He couldn't stop thinking about Storm. They had planned to become mates. How could she do this to him?!
"Could you maybe , at least, try, to lay still!" River mumbled to Fire.
"Sorry!" Fire mewed back and got up. He needed to see her. He needed her. He slipped into the prisoners den.
"W-who's there?!" Storm mewed nervously.
"Just me!" Fire said, going to her part in the den that was sealed off by hard sticks.
"W-Why have y-you come to s-see m-me?!" Storm mewed, tears forming, as she bunched up in the back of the den.
"Because, even though you have betrayed me, I'll set you free." Fire mewed quietly and grimly.
"I still love you Fire!" She mewed solemnly.
"I don't care...." He hissed, unhinging the bars.
"I'm sorry!" She mewed, pushing up against him.
"Didn't you hear me?! I don't love you anymore! You broke the promise!" Fire growled slashing Storm's face.
"You don't mean that, do you?" She whined looking into Fire's eyes.
"Go..." He said pointing his snout to the exit.
She just stood there, gaping at him.
"Go!" He growled, slashing her face again.
This time she ran, crying. Fire's eyes teared up. He walked out and headed toward Tiger's den.Tiger looked up once she smelled Fire.
"What are you doing up so late?" She yawned, getting up.
"I-I just wanted to talk. " Fire said nervously, looking down at the ground.
"Sure! Let's head out to the forest!" She said enthusiastically. They headed out into the forest, into a clearing.
"What's up?" Tiger said curiously.
"Please don't tell Flower! I set Storm free! I felt betrayed! I thought she loved me!" Fire yowled quietly, pushing up against Tiger, who was taken by surprise by the action.
"I-I won't tell..." Tiger said licking him over the war worriedly.
Fire didn't try to hide his tears this time.
