The Problems of Another World

The Threat

Without Hannah the team was quieter. They knew what needed to be done with putting people back so they pressed on. They found five people holed up in a small shed. Spikes and gun barrels poking out of it.

"It looks like they're choosing not to go back." Otto quipped

"How do we want to tackle this?" Renner asked

"Think you can distract them while I go around back?" Izzi asked in response

"What are you thinking?" Renner asked back

"Something covert and sneaky. do I need to go into detail?" Izzi fired back.

"Just thinking about the team. Do you ever do that?" Renner spat back.

"How long are we going to ask each other questions until you distract them so I can go around back and end this." she said walking off.

Otto looked at Renner. "We're all just worried about Hannah we haven't see or felt her in too long. It makes us all a little uneasy."

"I could tell." Renner said flatly

Otto rolled his eyes and hid behind the tree across form his brother and shouted. "Please if you would, gentlemen, go back to where you came from."

Some Shouting in a foreign language and wild gunfire was the response.

Renner let out a laugh and fired his gold shotgun above the shed yelling. "Fine don't come out then we want to kill, you were not trying to save your life or anything." Renner's sarcasm was aggressive.

Otto lowered his gun, when he saw Izzi holding one of the hostage yelling at the others in the building to leave. They came out of the shack hands up. They were afraid that Izzi would kill their

friend. Otto and Renner were afraid too.

Otto opened the portal then the five walked through without incident.

"One more right ZYG?" Izzi said annoyed.

"Yes I'm sending you there now." ZYG responded.

They had finally put the people back one by one. The last one however, was unexpected.

Renner was standing in front of the home of their grandparents, it was exactly like he remembered, sprawling and overgrown. The four of them had many memories of this place. To Izzi it felt wrong being here without Hannah, at least she had her blades.

She lifted her knife, and shouted. An eye appeared on the cross guard of her living metal blade with a sudden excited feeling from someone familiar.

The boy's jerked around looking for the threat. When they saw the eye, and they felt Hannah. She was awake and feeling very excited. "Hannah is that you?" Renner asked

they heard Hannah say "yep, that's Hannah."

"Why did you say it funny?" Otto asked

"Because I learned the name of my gift is also Hannah. Everyone say hi to Hannah." They waved at the Eye awkwardly, it blinked in response.

"Are you telling me that there are two Hannahs?" Izzi asked befuddled.

"That's going to get confusing." Renner noted "good to have you aboard Hannah you ready to help us."

Hannah could feel the excitement of the creature separate from hers, "We're excited to be a part of this good luck."

The team entered the house and climbed to second floor where InfraZyg stood before them, his infraZygmyst seems to be coming out of a small bead buried on his chest where his heart should be. When he spoke, it came out exasperated. Like talking was difficult.

He breathed in deep before saying "standing here in your ancestor's abode" another deep breath "is this where you wish to die?" his Mysty hands were covered in gauntlets that looked like leather gloves. In a gravelly voice he said "Fire," the glove on his left hand began glowing white hot. He walked toward Izzi. In response she threw her dagger at his head. It went through him into some wood where it began to wiggle in order to escape. The white-hot glove came crashing down on Izzi, before it stuck her, the blade freed itself from the wall just in time, flying back catching the glove before the fire could touch Izzi. His mysty hand hitting Izzi on the head, rather pathetically. It had successfully pinned the glove to the wall. But Izzi was on the floor, Renner fired his gold-plated shotgun at InfraZyg bullets did nothing. Otto dropped the assault rifle and opened a portal big enough to fit all of InfraZyg. "You cannot escape, I will have your soul." he screamed, his right glove took on a ghostly look. He swung his gloves hand at Renner grabbing his leg. Renner went flying. Izzi lying flat on the floor, winched Renner the momentum split between the two, lessening the impact hurting both. Izzi saw an ungloved hand coming for Renner's head. Renner jumped low dodging the first strike. Izzi, as she was getting up, ducked putting his ghostly glove right above her head her sword slipped around her putting itself in her hands, she thrusted up. It slipped right through the glove ripping a finger off. The glove returned to normal. "He trusted you with the living metal?!" They had him on the ropes until his Zygmyst burst out of him, infraZygmyst filled the room, the gloves were off, they couldn't see him.

Otto went through his portal there he saw his grandma and grandpa sitting on the couch. He panicked jumping back through saying "we can't send him through. Our grandp..." he got hit in the gut ,hard, collapsing. The infraZygmyst slipped into his lungs and began to suffocate him.

"Save Otto, get him out" Renner ordered ZYG. A quick glace around the room revealed the small bead that represented InfraZyg. Renner grabbed it with his left hand, and held on tight. InfraZyg was screaming all around them. Renner's hand was on fire but he didn't let go, InfraZyg reformed his body. He was thrashing uselessly at Renner.

Renner was screaming through the pain. "Izzi let's go"

Izzi took out her box and squeezed it, Little zyg popped out, but before he could say anything Izzi shouted "Get us somewhere else" a blue ring was around them as quickly as the little robot could. Suddenly they were at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Renner didn't let go instead he began pushing the seed to the ground. The seed was pushing back so hard that he was afraid he was going to lose his hand, fighting InfraZyg alone.

Hannah appeared surrounding his hands in the liquid metal, laced with curative. It exploded. Renner was screaming in one moment, the next he was gone to ZYG

"Is everything okay Izzi?" the little zygbot asked.

"Just take me to ZYG?"

Hannah was down there alone, with Hannah, they were holding InfraZyg until ZYG could send help down. "Thank you, Hannah" she said gratefully, her hands shaking and forehead sweaty. With all her metal in front of her holding down the genesis seed, a pair of eyes appeared and winked at her giving our Hannah a giant smile.
