           Addison P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off and the yells of my parents.

"It's not even 7 o'clock yet"

I say to myself as I get out of my bed. I walk over to my closest and take out a simple outfit. Flare jeans and a black shirt with a few necklaces. I could make out a few things that my parents were saying but I already knew it was about me. I put my binders in my bag and swing it on my shoulder. I unplug my phone from the charger and put it in my pocket. I walk out of my room and downstairs where my parents were. I tired to muffle the sounds of my parents yelling with my headphones but I could still hear them. Even with full volume. Sometimes I think that they can yell louder than an explosion, like they wouldn't even hear it over themselves. I quickly grab a pop tart from the cabinet and put it in the toaster. As the pop tart is heating up, I put on my favorite red convers. They had drawings on them and were practically falling apart but I loved them. I wore then everywhere and to everything, even weddings. Not that I go to weddings but, still. I grab the pop tart and put it in my mouth. I quickly run out the door and run down the side walk to the bus stop. I see my friends, Diana and Evie. They were my only friends and I genuinely don't think they like me that much, they just hang out with me cause they feel bad.

"Hey!" I said to them as I sat on the bench next to them. "Hey Ads!" Diana and Evie said in sync. Diana had shoulder length red hair that me and her did over the summer. She was shorter than me by at least an inch. She had dark green eyes that were like emarlds. Evie had long black hair that reached the end of her back. Evie was a nickname people called her, Eveyln was her real name. Only teachers and adults called her that. She had chocolate brown eyes that were protected by her glasses. I genuinely don't know how I managed to have them as friends, they're so pretty and I look basic. I have the most basic brown hair and brown eyes.

The bus pulled up and we got up from the bench and got on. We found seats at the back, where we always sit. Evie and Diana sat in seat 24 and I sat in 23. They were talking about something but I wasn't paying attention. I hadn't noticed the bus picked up another kid until someone asked me something. "Is this seat taken?" That voice. I knew that voice by heart. It was Andrea Kepper. Andrea was the prettiest girl in the entire school. She had blonde hair that reached the middle of her back. She had the most beautiful blue eyes that I could stare into forever. I may have a small crush on her... Ok maybe not a small crush. I was practically head over heals for her. "Uh- yea, I mean no!" I definitely embarrassed myself right there. I knew I was all red because Evie and Diana started giggling. I took my bag off the seat and put it on the disgusting bus floor. Andrea sat down and put her bag on her lap. There wasn't that much space between us since the seats were small. I could smell her lavender perfume and whatever else she used. I realized I was starring and quickly turned my head to the window. I felt my cheeks get hot. Andrea was the definition of popular. She had lots of friends, boys falling for her left and right, loved by everyone, nice, skinny, pretty. I could go on and on about her. One thing I noticed is that she never accepted the confessions of other boys. She never looked at them with love.

She never looks at guys with love.

The bus pulled up to the school after what felt like forever. Andrea got up and walked to the front. Her hair swaying as she moved. Everyone else got up and exited the bus. Me, Evie and Diana were the last ones to get off as usual. I honestly think the bus driver hates us. She always gives us weird glares. No one else. Probably because we yell most afternoons. I don't feel bad one bit though. We walk into the building and Diana goes left while me and Evie go right. "You were so red it was hilarious!" Evie said to me trying not to laugh. "Shut up!" I say back to her, play punching her arm. The lockers were lined alphabetical order so Evie's was near the front since her last name was Dawson. I had to walk a bit further but it was fine since my class was close. I put my bag in my locker and take out my binders. I walk to my first class which is math. I hate having math in the mornings, I can barely focus cause I'm so tired. I find an empty seat in the middle row. The front rows are the nerds and bullies, the back rows are the boys who obviously haven't hit puberty yet and the middle row is for the antisocial kids and popular girls. That's the only thing I've learned in this class. The rest of the class found their seats as the teacher walked in and started his lesson.

The rest of the day went by in a blur. Before I knew it, it was already 9th period. I only had one class with Evie and that was Goverment. I didn't have any classes with Diana. Which ment that the entire day was boring. I hate last period because it's the longest 45 minutes ever. We were supposed to do homework but then I can't google the answers since the dumb teacher was watching. I took out a piece of paper and just drew random things. I had Andrea in this class and starred at her most days. She always hung out with the other popular kids, but today most of them weren't here so she sat in the back. I bet they're skipping, they always do. I put my headphone on and put on a random song. I was actually good at drawing eyes, I drew them on everything. It was practically a habit. I was in the process of drawing one when someone tapped on my desk. I look up and it was Andrea. "Hey, Addison right?" She said with her angelic voice. "Uh- yeah" I was mentally screaming, I felt my cheeks get hot. "I've seen you around, you hang out with Evelyn and Diana right?" She sat in the empty seat next to me as she talked, flashing the prettiest smile. "Yea, They're really cool" I say, sounding really awkward. What am I supposed to say to her?! God I'm so awkward! "You seem cool too" She said as she looked at what I was drawing. Oh my god she just called me cool! She thinks I'm cool! I was practically dying inside but trying to stay calm outside. "That's really good! How long have you been drawing?" She grabs the paper I drew on. "Thanks, and since I was 9" I try to hide the blush on my face but fail miserably. "That's a long time, 9 years" She said looking me directly in the eyes. She quickly looked away from me and towards the wall. I swear I saw a hint of pink on her cheeks, or I'm just delusional. I'm probably delusional she would never love someone like me. "What song are you listening to?" She asks to fill the silence between us. I look at my phone to see. "Song About Me by TV Girl" I take out one of my earbuds and hand it to her. She takes it and puts it in her ear.

"I heard that you heard"
"That I was writing songs about you"
"That I was bad mouthin' your name"
"In some shitty bar somewhere"

Andrea hands me back my earbud. "That's a good song, I should listen to it more." She says smiling. "TV Girl has a lot of good songs." I put my phone in my pocket and my paper in my bag. "We shou—" Andrea was about to say but got cut off by the bell. School was finally over. I got up from my seat and headed towards the door. Andrea sighed and grabbed her bag and exited the room.

I saw Evie and Diana walking to the bus but I didn't feel like riding it. I kept walking on the sidewalk and down my road. I really hoped my dad wasn't home. My dad never was a good person, he cheated on my mom 3 times and she still hasn't left him. He would sometimes get really drunk and hit me or my mom. He would never hurt my little brother, Robbie. As I approached my house I saw my dad's beat up and rusty car in the driveway. I tense up as I walk up to the front door and enter the house. The TV was on and my dad was passed out on the couch holding a beer bottle. Robbie was in the kitchen probably eating a snack. at the table. I took off my shoes and put them in the pile of shoes by the door. I walk to the kitchen and Robbie gets up and runs to hug me. "Hi sissy!" He said sounding so happy to see me. "Hi Rob!" I say, ruffling his hair. He goes back to the table and continues what he was doing. I walk out of the kitchen and upstairs to my room. I throw my bag onto my floor as I fall onto my bed. I still couldn't believe that Andrea was actually talking to me. She was talking to me. Me! I kept thinking about it until I fell asleep.
