Dementor, Dementor!

When the time comes for me to go back to Hogwarts, I'm so excited! Me and Alex had been talking over summer, and it was great. He was now my best friend. I did occasionally call Hermione, but I get to see both of them soon! I was staying with Alex for a week, then we went to Hogwarts. My mom was happy I had made a friend and that his family was nice enough to let a foreigner into their home. But she still was a little jittery about letting me go to Italy.

Evelyn: "Mom, I've been dreaming of going to Italy ever since I found out pizza was made there. Which was when I was 4. I will be fine. Alex and his family will be amazing hosts, and we'll be fine!"

Melissa: "I know, but I just don't want my baby getting hurt!"

We were already at the airport, and my plane was boarding in 15 minutes to Venice.

Evelyn: "I can handle myself. And if anyone tries to hurt me, I can whoop their ass."

She smiles and an announcement comes on saying my flight was ready to board. I say goodbye and leave.

When I arrive at Venice, I go to the nearest water fountain and drink water for about 30 seconds. When I'm done, I go and find a limo with a dude who has a sign with my name on it.

Driver: "Are you Ms. Evelyn McCall?"

I nod.

Evelyn: "Yeah. Is this my ride?"

He nods then opens the door and there is Alex. I smile.

Alex: "Hey Lyn! Get in!"

He scoots over and I get in next to him.

Alex: "How are you? Did you fly safely?"

Evelyn: "A few turbulences here and there, but it was fine."

We continue talking, and I try not to yawn. I'm just tired from the jetlag, but I don't want to seem rude. We arrived at his house, oh who am I kidding, mansion was a better word for it. It was on a little cliff, and it overlooked the ocean. It was absolutely gorgeous. The car stops and we get out. A house elf takes my luggage inside and Alex leads me inside. I feel my eyes drooping, and I struggle to keep them open as Alex shows me to where I'll be sleeping.

Evelyn: "Thanks again for letting me stay. My mom is really happy."

Alex: "Oh of course! I'm happy I could be a help."

I sit on the bed, hoping I don't pass out.

Alex: "Well, you can get settled in, and dinner is at 7:30."

I nod and he exits. That's when I collapse.

I wake up to someone shaking me gently. I open my eyes, and see Alex restraining a smile.

Alex: "Good Morning. Or should I say 'Evening'?"

I sit up, his hand still on my shoulder.

Evelyn: "How long have I been asleep?"

He shrugs.

Alex: "About 4 hours."

I rub the sleep out of my eyes, and I stand up.

Evelyn: "Did I miss dinner?"

Alex: "I brought it up for you after you didn't come down after five minutes, then I found you asleep."

He gestures to the tray by my bed, filled with Italian food, that I didn't notice before.

Evelyn: "Oh, thank you!"

He moves out of the way and hands me the tray. I started eating, not realizing how hungry I was until now. And the food was good. He probably had a gourmet chef. I take a sip of the water, washing down the food, and I sigh.
