The door burst open and they turned towards the door. Luciano walked inside and Vitto moved back from Kay, creating space between them
Luciano's eyes moved from Vitto to Kay.
"What are you doing with my sister?" He growled and grabbed Kay's hands, dragging her out of the room.
"Let me go, why are you dragging me" Kay yelled trying to release her hand.
"You need to hide, stay in my room and don't come out unless I ask you to" he said dragging her towards his room
"Why would I hide in your room when mum's party is going on" Kay huffed
"Your life is in danger....you need to " He was still talking when they heard gunshots downstairs.
Miranda sat beside Mrs Katherine and grandpa Vincent. He also came for the party.
"Grandpa, you don't look well to me, are you sick" Miranda asked
"No dear, I'm already getting better, Luciano assigned a nurse to me" he smiled
"What!!!, That idiot knew you were sick and he didn't tell me" Miranda yelled fisting her hands.
"I asked him not to tell you , I know you were going to be worried'" he replied
"But grandpa..."
"Don't worry, I am fine" he said and stood up. He moved to the center and began to dance. Miranda gave him a small smile
Everything was going smoothly till someone shot in the air.
"What the f*CK is wrong with you,this is a party and you shouldn't be shooting" She gritted as she walked towards the man that shot the gun.
"We aren't interested in the party, we came to get Kay" He replied
"Get Kay? You must be crazy"
Kay rushed downstairs with Luciano following behind.
"Kay, you're too stubborn, get inside now" Luciano gritted running after her .
"There she is, come with us peacefully or we will do it in Violence" He smirked.
Miranda walked towards Damian and whispered into his ears
Damian nodded and walked towards Grandpa Vincent. He helped him up and led him upstairs.
"She isn't coming with you" Miranda replied.
"I can't watch you take away my daughter, take me instead" Mrs Katherine said
"Mum what are you saying?" Luciano rolled his eyes and glared at Kay.
"Why do you want her?" Vitto asked
"Ask your god-damned mother" The guy replied and Vitto tried to attack him but Kay held him back
"Don't worry, I'll go with them" Kay said
"No Kay, you can't" Miranda replied
"I will go with them, I'm sure they won't hurt me. I will talk to Ares and ask him what he wants from me" she said
"You won't spend a day there, I'll come get you" Vitto whispered and she nodded

"Good afternoon Officer" Matteo greeted as he walked into the office.
"Afternoon young man, what can I do for you" The officer asked. He was a huge man with big belly and wore a glass that made him look funny.
"Sir, you noticed some illegal activities in my work place" He said
"Hhmmmm, like what" The officer asked removing his glass and rubbed the lenses with a tissue.
Matteo gulped and stared at the recorder in his hands. He had been trying to call Miranda since morning but she wasn't picking up.
"Yes, young man, I am waiting" The police said and Matteo shifted on his seat.
"They deal in drugs and also human trafficking" Matteo replied
"Really, where do you work?"
"Barone club" Matteo replied and the man chuckled
"I have evidence" Matteo added and dropped the recorder on the table.
The police man picked it up and threw it in the waste bin beside him. Matteo's jaw dropped at his action.
"If you value your life, I'll advise you to keep shut" The officer adviced
"Why, you are supposed to send your men there to investigate" Matteo said and the man laughed
"There are some people you don't go against in this country, you have reported the people I can't take action against, I work for them and everyone fears them. So just go home and forget about this" The officer said and Matteo nodded
He walked out of the place confused. How can the people who are supposed to protect the innocent be among the bad people.
He felt someone walking behind him and he turned. There was no one.
He continued walking down the lonely road with his ears at alert. He felt like someone was following him.
BARONE MANSION
The mansion was quiet after the men left with Kay.
"What should we do now, should we go after her?" Vitto asked
"No, he might decide to hurt her of we go, I'll call him and speak to him" she replied
"I know Ares for years, he won't hurt her, maybe he had a crush on her" Grandpa Vincent said
"Crush??, But she's a little girl" Vitto gritted
"She's not that little if she can satisfy his desires" Grandpa Vincent replied
Luciano had been silent all along. He was just busy pressing his phone.
"So your phone is better than your sister right??" Mrs Katherine said dragging the phone from him and smashing it on the wall
"Mum, what's wrong with you" Luciano yelled
"Are you asking me??, I can see you no longer have respect for me" she replied
"Luciano, how can talk to your mum like that in my presence" Grandpa Vincent yelled and Luciano picked his phone from the ground before walking to his room
Miranda walked to her room and picked her phone from the bed. She unlocked it with her fingerprint and gasped when she saw twenty missed calls from Matteo and two from the inspector.
She dialed the inspectors number and placed the phone on her ear.
"Inspector, I was busy when you called" She said
"Yeah, a young man came to report today, he said he works at the club and noticed some illegal activities" He said and Miranda rubbed her temple.
"Is that all he said??" She asked
"He also came with a tiny recorder but I collected it from him, I just sent my goons after him to end his life" The inspector said
"Wait...." She said
"How does he look like?" She asked
"He's tall, with grey eyes and has an athletic build, he's cute though" The officer laughed
"Stop your goons immediately, nothing must happen to him" Miranda ordered and ended the call. That guy is definitely Matteo and she can't let anything happen to him.
She dialed Matteo's number but he wasn't picking up
"Damn you" She huffed and rushed into the bathroom to shower.
