Vitto sat beside Miranda on the bed and held her hand in his.
"When is she going to wake up?" Kay asked
"I don't know, the doctor said it could take a day" Vitto replied and Kay sighed. Her eyes were fixed on his hands. Her heart ached as she saw him rub Miranda's cheek.
"Vitto, you haven't had dinner, I'll watch over her while you go and eat your dinner" Kay said softly
"I am not hungry" Vitto replied coldly.
"You haven't eaten since morning, Miranda would be fine, please just go and eat" Kay said. Vitto sighed and walked out of the room.
Luciano was sitting in the dinning room eating when Vitto walked in with his tray of food. Vitto prefers to serve himself and the maids aviod him because of his coldness.
"Hey bro, you look hopeless" Luciano said
" MiMi is still unconscious" Vitto said and Luciano smirked
"She can't compete with me, she better give up before she dies" Luciano replied
"Luciano, that is her birth right and you shouldn't be dragging it with her" Vitto said
"Yeah, but she's a woman, how do you expect her to lead us, we are male's and we are meant to be the leaders"
"And what if she can lead better than you?" Vitto asked
"Really, why do I feel like you want me to loose, we are friends and you are supposed to be by my side" Luciano growled
"I know that's why I am telling you to step down for her, as your friend I can only advise you to do the right thing"
"Is it because you love her?" Luciano chuckled
"What are you saying?, That has nothing to do with this" Vitto replied looking around to see if anyone heard them
"Tomorrow is the final test and I am going to win, just as I won today" Luciano gritted and left
"Don't say I didn't warn you" Vitto shrugged and began to eat his food
BARONE NIGHT CLUB
"Hey, bar man, two bottles of tequila" Luciano ordered as he sat on the chair
Matteo brought the drinks and wanted to pour in the glass cups but Luciano prefers to drink from the bottle.
A girl walked towards him with smiles plastered on her face. She had a lot of makeup and her rouge lipstick made her look like an Italian Diva.
"Hey Luciano, long time" She cooed and sat on his laps
"Joan" Luciano called
"Yes, it's me" she giggled and bent to peck his lips but Luciano turned his face and it landed on his cheeks.
"Still cold as ever, anyways what are you doing here" She laughed
"Just came to clear my head " He replied
"Wow, good thing I am here, we can just book a room in a hotel" She whispered
"I am not in the mood for that now, just entertain me" he said and she nodded.
"Hey Music" Luciano waved at the Disc jockey (Dj) at the end of the room.
The lights went of and the people grumbled, the lights went on again and this time the spotlight shone brightly on Joan and she began dancing crazily.
The men clapped and threw money at her, Luciano continued drinking and smoking while watch her do her thing.
Joan is an Italian Diva. Her father is a business tycoon and they attended the same highschool. She had been dancing in clubs since she was young and that has made her popular and also rich.
Matteo looked around like he was looking for someone.
"She didn't come today" He muttered and continued serving the drinks.
BARONE MANSION
Miranda slowly opened her eyes and looked around her. She was in her room and Kay had already fallen asleep beside her.
She groaned as she tried to sit up, her throat was dry and the jug on the table was empty.
She carefully climbed down the bed and walked out of the room to the kitchen.
"Ma'm, what do you want?" A maid asked
"Water" She rasped and the maid nodded and gave her a glass of water. She gulped it down and asked for another glass.
"What are you still doing here, it's late, you should be in bed now" she asked looking at the wall clock in the kitchen
"It's my turn to stay awake today" She replied
"Not like anybody is coming to steal from the kitchen, you can go and sleep " She said
"Huh..." The maid asked
"Go to bed"
"But....what if..." The maid stuttered
"I will tell him I asked you to" Miranda said
"Thank you very much" the maid squeaked excitedly and rushed out.
He's not even the Don and he is already giving stupid rules. Miranda huffed and walked back to her room. She met Damian on her way.
"How are you feeling now, Don" he asked and Miranda rolled her eyes
"Don't call me that, I am not the Don" Miranda replied
"I got the information you asked for, o came to your room but you were sleeping" He said giving her a brown envelope
"Thank you very much" She said collecting it from him and walked to her room. She placed it in her wardrobe and locked it with the keys.
"Hey, you're awake" Kay asked and she turned
"Yeah, I was feeling thirsty so I went downstairs to drink water" Miranda replied
"Alright, you should thank Vitto, he was watching you throughout" Kay said and walked out.
Why would he do that??
Miranda locked the door and brought out the envelope from the wardrobe. She opened it and brought out the white A4 paper and began to read
"Matteo Gonzales, twenty three years old, lives with junior sister and works at a pizza store and at BARONE bar. Parents died in an auto crash, dated Rosie Angelou but broke up few months ago."
Miranda rolled her eyeballs, she copied his phone number and address in her phone and dropped the envelope on the table before going back to bed. She was very tired that she forgot about the last test.
