2. In Hell

Cosmo groaned as he slowly opened his eyes as he got up and sat on the ground as he held his head. He looked around in confusion before his eyes widened as he got the memories of the events that had happened mere moments ago as he reflexively held his neck as he felt that no wound was there.

He was confused about it as he looked around him and saw that he is in an alleyway, though all of it was red which confused him as he got up and walked out of the alley. He looked around and saw a man walking as he approached him.

"Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?" Cosmo asked as he tapped the man's shoulders.

The man turned around but Cosmo's eyes widened in shock as the man had the face of a warthog.

"Oh my God!" Cosmo shouted in shock as he jumped back from the man.

"Huh, you're a new Sinner kid? I didn't think I would meet someone so young looking." The man said as he looked at him bored.

"Sinner? What do you mean? Where is this?" Cosmo asked him scared and confused.

"Well, you're in Hell kiddo. You know, the Christian Hell, there is the red sky and the pentagram as well." The man said as he pointed to the sky.

Cosmo followed the man's hand and looked at the sky which is red and a large pentagram is in the sky as his eyes widened.

'I-I am in Hell?' Cosmo thought to himself in shock.

He remembered the final moments when the cultists were sacrificing him as he looked at the man.

"Th-Then, what are you? What is a Sinner?" Cosmo asked him as he trembled.

"I'm obviously a Demon. A Sinner is a human soul who has been sent to Hell and has become a Demon due to it. So, congratulations, you're a demon in Hell." The man said to him with a shrug.

"I'm a Demon!?" Cosmo shouted with wide eyes and shock when he heard that.

'This can't be happening to me! I never did anything bad in my life!' Cosmo thought to himself as he panicked.

"Well, tough luck kid but your Fate was decided the moment you came here and became a Sinner. Fortunately for you, you appeared a day after the yearly cleansing so you're fine for another year." The man said to him as he crossed his arms.

"Yearly cleansing?" Cosmo asked confused as he looked at the man.

"Yeah. Every year Angels come and kill the demons in the Pride Ring. Us Sinner can't die no matter what, but the powers of the angels are the only things that can permanently kill us, which basically means they destroy our soul." The man said to him calmly.

Cosmo felt a shiver go through his spine when he heard that. The fact that Angels came and killed the demons and basically destroyed souls meant that they would also kill him since he is a Sinner and a Demon by the words of the man in front of him.

'Well, at least I have a year or so.' Cosmo thought to himself.

"Uh, thanks for the info." Cosmo said to the man after a few seconds.

The man paused for a few seconds as he looked at him before he nodded to him.

"You should be careful kid. Not many of the demons here are as calm as me." The man said before he walked away from him as Cosmo looked at the man before looking down.

"I really am in Hell." Cosmo said to himself.

"I suggest taking a look at yourself songe it is your new form." The man said as he walked away.

'Been a long time since I was thanked.' The man thought to himself as he walked away.

Cosmo meanwhile looked at his arms and his eyes widened as he saw small white wings on either side of his wrists, his hands are sharp now, he saw a mirror of a shop. He also has a wing each on both sides of his forehead pointing backwards, his eyes have become teal coloured and his teeth has become sharper though it isn't that noticeable. His twin tails have also become teal coloured as well. His skin has a pale complexion now though it isn't that much.

Cosmo looked at himself and touched the small wings, the ones on his head and wrists alongside his face as well as his eyes widened.

"I really am in Hell." Cosmo said to himself as he looked at himself.

He felt depressed and dejected when he realised that fact. He went and leaned on the side of a shop as he held his head with wide eyes.

"This can't be happening to me. I didn't even do anything sinful in my life." Cosmo said to himself in despair.

'I won't be able to meet Grandma.' Cosmo thought to himself in despair.

He also remembered his life back on Earth and didn't know what he had done to deserve something like this. He sulked there for a few minutes before he got up and looked around him as he saw many other Demons walking as he looked at them.

"Well, I guess I need to do something here. I guess this can be considered a second life, even if it's Hell." Cosmo said to himself with a sigh before he walked away.

He walked through the streets as he looked at the various buildings and came across a lot of other Demons who largely ignored him. They gave him curious glances but then went on their way. He saw many of the advertisements on the buildings as he looked at them as he sighed.

"What am I supposed to do?" Cosmo said to himself as he sighed.
