Chapter 20

Bria's pov:

it's been a few months since the parade and i've just arrived to the Barcelona training ground,

after having an introduction to the club and signing a few things i was given Barcelona training clothes to change into to take some photos,

i walked out onto the training ground field and took some pictures with my new jersey,

"okay that's perfect, if you wanna follow you i can take you through to meet the rest of the team!" the photographer said as i nodded and followed them in,

as soon as i walked into the gym where the rest of the team were Lucy and Kiera both screamed my name before running over and hugging me,

"hey guys!!!" i said as i hugged them,
"you have no idea how happy we are your here" Lucy said making me laugh,
"i'm happy to be here" i replied before the others came over,

"Hola! i'm Salma" a girl with dreads said with a smile,
"hey i'm Bria nice to meet you!" i replied before hugging her,

"hey i'm Ona nice to meet you" another girl said before i introduced myself,
"Hey so good to meet you i'm Aitana" a dark haired girl said before i hugged her and introduced myself,

"we were convinced you wouldn't come here" Kiera said making me laugh,
"yeah no we were like there's no way she's leaving Liverpool, she literally came up through their academy" Lucy added,
"yeah i didn't think i'd come here either to be fair, but things happened, decisions were made and now i'm here for a season" i replied,
"or many more seasons when you decide we're the team you wanna stay with" Salma said with a wink making me giggle,

"don't worry you ain't gotta share a training ground with the boys here" Kiera said,
"that's good. I know what sharing with boys is like now" i replied making them laugh,
"why did you even have to share?" Ona asked,
"because Melwood was getting renovated so we had to go to Kirkby, and it fit into their plans perfectly" i replied as she nodded,
"well whatever their plan was worked because both you guys won your leagues" Aitana said as i nodded with a smile,

"yeah i am gonna miss everyone, we were all close by the end of it" i replied as they nodded,
"but, i'm excited for this season, gonna be a nice change from the english weather that's for sure" i added making them laugh,
"trust me, training in this heat will make you realise you love the English weather" Lucy replied making me giggle,

after the first day of training with my new team i went to my new house to try and settle in,

Lucy found me the house as it's right next to hers,

it's a lot bigger then my house in Liverpool, it had a massive garden and a pool which i loved,

i was sitting on my new sofa as my phone started ringing, i looked at it to see Missy was facetiming me,

"hey Miss" i said with a smile as i answered,
"Bri! wait are you home already?" she asked as i nodded,
"yup, met everyone and did everything i needed to today so now I'm home" i replied as she nodded,
"let's see your new house then" she said as i smiled and flipped the camera before showing her around,
"you've got a pool outside? that's so sick" she said making me laugh,
"yeah it's a really nice house" i replied as she agreed.
"hey Sofie come say hi" Missy said as she panned the camera to Sofie and Trent,
"omg hey Bri" Sofie said,
"hey Sof! hey Trent" i replied,
"hey Bri how's Spain?" Trent asked as i nodded,
"it's really good! not as good at Liverpool yet but you know" i replied as they laughed and nodded,

"Trent! what time we in tomorrow again?" i heard a familiar voice say, Missy's awkward face confirmed who it was,
"uh 10" Trent replied,
"alright cheers" Curtis said before leaving again,

"have you guys seriously not spoken at all?" Sofie asked as i nodded,
"we agreed we'd stay friends but i guess it just turned awkward" i replied,
"it's like when people from a 2 year relationship decide to just be friends, there's no hate it just turns awkward. only difference is we never dated" i added,

"i still think you guys should've given it a go. You never know you may have done the long distance thing fine" Missy replied as i shrugged,
"too late now" i said as she nodded,
"right well i'll let you guys get back to training, don't want Matt to tell me off for distracting" i said making them laugh,
"yeah okay, I'll call you tomorrow" Missy replied as i nodded and said my goodbyes before ending the phone call,

after talking to Missy i was left thinking about Curtis, thinking whether i should call him? or text him even,

after 10 minutes of thinking about it i decided against the idea.

Curtis' pov:

i was wondering what time we had training tomorrow and saw Trent, Sofie and Missy in the corridor so i thought i'd asked Trent,

however after i asked the question i saw who they were face timing,

once i got my answer i walked away again, left thinking about her again and what could've been,

i still wonder what it could've been like if we just gave the long distance thing a shot,

i went and sat in the canteen before thinking about whether i should call or text her, i don't really know why we stopped talking or why it got awkward but i do know i miss her,

after thinking more i decided not to message her as she probably is busy not to mention i don't know if she even wants to talk to me.

Bria's pov:

as it got later i decided to go to bed as it was going to be a long day at training tomorrow.
