I LIKE YOU.
in real life
25TH JANUARY 2024.
THE INTERNET has been going crazy ever since the article about Walker and Lydia. Although there have been rumours or rather said people shipping them on the internet, they were never this intense.
Lydia knew this would happen sooner or later. She and the boy have been getting closer and closer as each day passed and the girl couldn't even try to hide her feelings for him. She knew she liked him, she would never deny that, she just wouldn't confess it to the boy either. She didn't feel ready for that part of this little relationship they had yet.
She wasn't sure if the boy liked her the same way or only viewed her as a friend. She wasn't sure if it was worth risking the friendship they have built. But according to Brady the boy liked her too. Even if he never really admitted it, Brady claims that he knows his friend good enough to see that he clearly likes her.
Brady was the one to bring Lydia back to her hotel the night prior. He watched her freak out as she saw the pictures online and he was the one to calm her down. Though it didn't help a bit, he made the girl feel better.
He told her to talk to Walker the next day, he insisted to ask him what they should do. Brady was so damn sure that they would tell each other how they felt.
So the next morning, the first thing Lydia did was text Walker. It was a quick 'can you com over' text, but Walker already knew what was going on.
As Lydia heard knocking on the door she has already changed into a sweater and jeans. She jumped up from her bed and speed walked to the door. She took a deep breath before opening the door to reveal the blonde boy standing behind it.
He went in for a hug right away as they have done everytime they saw each other. Lydia hesitantly hugged him back before guiding him into the room.
"What's up?" Walker asked as he followed her to the bed. They both sat next to each other on the edge.
"Have you looked at the internet?" She asked, suddenly getting up. She started walking up and down in the room after she asked the question.
"You mean the articles and posts about us?" He asked.
"Yeah." She said, stopping to look at Walker who seemed completely unbothered.
"What about them?" He asked again. He got up and walked up to the girl. He stood in front of her as she looked at him with her eyebrows risen.
"How can you be so calm about this?" She asked, panicking.
"Cause who cares what people think?" He asked, grabbing her arms to calm her down. "Only we know the truth about us."
"And what is the truth?" She asked, her eyes meeting his.
"Whatever you want it to be." Walker told her with a small but sweet smile lingering on his lips.
"Huh?" She looked at him shocked, her whole body freezing. And yet again she realized how close they were. She suddenly stopped breathing.
"How can a girl as smart as you be so oblivious?" Walker questioned her as he got even closer to her.
"What do you mean?" She asked, her voice shaking as she let out a silent laugh.
"I like you, dummie." He laughed at her.
The girl's eyes widened. The moment she was living in didn't feel real at all. She felt like she was living in a dream. Her whole body had this tingling feeling that she hasn't felt before. Her hands started sweating and she just stared at the boy in front of her.
"What?" She looked at him, still shook.
"Oh my gosh, Ly, stop acting dumb." He said as his right hand cupped her cheeks.
Lydia's heart skipped a million beats as Walker's thumb brushed on her soft skin. He admired the girl's stunned face. Her brown eyes looked afraid, but they were glowing. It's something that Brady pointed out to him. Her eyes were glowing when she looked at him. She looked at him like he was the sun, because for her he was the real life definition of the sun.
For her she was everything that the world had to offer. The first boy she ever developed feelings for ever since Matthew back in July. For her he was the change she needed. She knew for a fact that he was sent to her by god. Because how could anything be as perfect as him standing in front of her. And how could anyone this perfect like her? She was in fact oblivious, how could she not be? She was standing in front of the boy of her dreams. Perfect from the inside and outside. But how could she ever deserve something this great if she knew that she wouldn't be able to keep up with what was going to happen if she really let him in.
As for him, she was perfect. Even if she was mean, she was perfect. Her smile truly showed how lovely she was, how much love she had in herself. Walker wanted her to love him, Walker wanted her love. He was ready to do anything to earn it. He knew it was gonna be hard, but he wanted it. He was sure he would get it, and there he stood in front of her, so close, with his hand on her cheek.
Whatever he was going to do next, Lydia finally felt ready for it. She felt ready to open up, to show herself to someone. She was ready to risk everything for the boy she's known for less than a month. But she knew him and he knew her. It was worth everything to her. He was worth everything.
The girl was shaken out of her thought as Walker slightly cleared his throat.
"May I?" He asked, looking at her lips. Lydia slightly nodded.
Suddenly the girl felt Walker's lips connect to hers. She slowly closed her eyes as she tried to take in the moment. His lips lined up with hers perfectly. The girl felt amazing.
Everything felt perfect. Everything was perfect.
The two pulled away, trying to catch their breaths. They connected their foreheads as they looked into each other's eyes. Lydia felt like a million butterflies have flown around her stomach, but it was perfect.
"I like you too." She whispered to the blonde boy. He just let out a small giggle before kissing the girl again.
