LYDIA AND WALKER were hanging out at her hotel while she was getting ready to go to dinner with their friends later. While Walker laid on her bed scrolling on his phone, she sat in front of the hotel window, putting on some make up. Every now and then Walker looked up from his phone, admiring the girl.
They spent the whole day together, just hanging out and watching Gossip Girl, and now it was after five p.m. The two were supposed to meet up with their friends at the restaruant at six, but they knew damn well that they were gonna be late.
Five minutes later Lydia was done getting ready and she got up to go get changed.
"You can get up, I'll be right back and we can go." She said to Walker before walking into the bathroom with her clothes.
A few minutes later she left the bathroom, all dressed up and ready to go. By the doorway stood Walker with his shoes on also ready to head out.
Lydia quickly got her bag and her room card and walked up to Walker who was about to open the door.
"Ready to go?" He asked. Lydia nodded. "Got everything?"
"Yes." Lydia said, bragging out the 's'.
Walker just smiled at her and held his hand out to her which made the brunette girl grin. She gladly took his hand as they left the room.
The two were walking to the restaurant nearby so they took their sweet time to leave the hotel, only to realize there was paparazzi all over the place. Lydia gulped, she was expecting for Walker to drop her hand, but instead he gripped it tighter than before. This made Lydia blush and a small smile creeped up onto her lips.
They walked past the paparazzi who were trying to be held back by the security. She heard some scream her name and some other scream Walker's name. Instead of looking at the floor they both looked straight ahead, not even trying to hide their smiles.
They looked at each other and their smiles became even wider as they made eye contact.
In that moment they did not care how many people saw them. They knew that people recognized them as they walked down the streets of New York. And they also knew people took pictures and the rumors would get worse, but all that mattered to them in that moment was that they were going through it together.
