"Oh, there's someone you forgot to..." Freen said to Becky, signaling behind her.

Becky turned around to see it really was Heidi who had been standing with the rest of her family.

Becky's hand was holding Freen's when they drew back from their kiss, she almost expected Becky to let go. But to her surprise, she didn't. In fact Becky pulled Freen ahead to stand right beside her before embracing Heidi.

"It's so good to see you again, P'Heidi..." Becky said.

"Likewise, Becky..." Heidi said, hugging Becky tight.

Freen felt a little out of place, but Becky wanted her right there and so she stayed put. When they parted from the hug, Freen made a mental note that Heidi was still standing in Becky's personal space. She tried sooo hard to stop thinking like that. To get those stupid thoughts out of her head. She needed a distraction. She looked beyond Heidi to spot everyone taking their seats around the dining table and thought maybe she should excuse herself and go over.

But the distraction came in another form. Becky wound her arm around Freen's waist and pulled her to her side, and softly kissed her temple. "This was all your doing, babe?"

"All her! And what a way she went about with it too!" Heidi added, smiling in Freen's direction.

"Can't wait to hear all about it over dinner na..." Becky said, looking lovingly at Freen. And that's when Freen's heart felt more at ease.

It was in the way Becky was looking at her. It didn't matter that her ex was here. Cause she didn't mean as much. Becky had eyes only for Freen. Her gaze was soft and warm and so very welcoming and it was just for her.

"Oh! Wait till you see the lavish meal she had us all prepare for you!" Heidi said, turning to walk with them towards where everyone was now passing the plates around.

Becky slowed herself and Freen down and before they could join the others at the table, she turned Freen around to face her.

"You didn't have to call her, you know?" Becky said, looking deep into Freen's eyes, almost as if she was searching.

"She means a lot to you. I couldn't not..."

"You mean more to me. It was really big of you to invite her even though you don't feel all too comfortable having her around, babe." Becky said, her palm caressing Freen's face.

Freen leaned into it and closed her eyes. She then looked towards the dinner table, where Emily had chosen to sit right next to Heidi and was busy chatting away with her.

"Emi's been stuck to her like glue." Freen said with a slight chuckle. "I'm happy you'll are happy."

Becky kissed her forehead then and said, "Come on na, don't worry your genius brain so much. It's simple. P'Heidi is in our past. You're our present and forever. Even Emi understands that."

And as if to affirm what Becky just said, when they approached the dinner table, Emily stopped mid-sentence in whatever she was telling Heidi and ran over to Freen.

"What did Mami say?! Did she love it? Did she love our surprise?" Emily asked Freen.

"I'm right here honey, and yes! Of course I loved the surprise." Becky said and pulled her little one up into her arms. "Did you help with dinner?" Becky asked her.

"Ka! I did! I helped peel the carrots!" Emily said.

"And I helped Mama hide your gift...!" Beckett said.

"Baby!" Freen said at the same Nam reached over and covered his mouth.

Emily face palmed herself and everyone at the table laughed. The table erupted in laughter.
