Chapter Three
Naledi Mokoena
Friday and in the school hall
9:33AM

Four more exams and I can't wait until I reach the end goal. I'm so tired already of this school thing but at least I'm getting more sleep.

It's now paper 1 of life science and I am nervous but at this point life science is life science. I tap my feet as I watch the clock impatiently and say a silent prayer. I look in the front of the school and it was as through my eyes were playing tricks on me so I just ignore it and look elsewhere.

I take out a black pen as the monitors walk away so we can sign the registeration and the whole procedure. I continue saying a small prayer while not paying attention to anyone until we finally start writing.

An hour goes by I look up at the clock and see that I still have enough time. When I look away from the clock I make eye contact with the hot teacher every girl seems to have hots for,he narrows his eyes and then finally widens them as I quickly look away.

Wait a damn minute!That's Nathan,the way I want to look back but I don't want to get in trouble and be accused of cheating so I continue doing what I need to do. I try by all means not to laugh or blush but he makes it difficult when he walks past me.

He smells so damn good and I just have to keep my head down and continue to bit the inside of my cheek because he is so annoying.

Time goes by and finally I am done with everything and even double checked my answers and read everything properly. I am up and ready to go home already.

"Party time!"That's Nathalie as we walk out of the school gate and leave the premises."I know Sne is not coming. Nale has to look after ouma for the weekend."

"Yes but today I'm off so I'm definitely going to that party."

"Did aunty Lerato agree?"Snethemba asks and I nod my head.

"Yep but 12 is my curfew."I explain as we walk to the mall next to the school and browse around the shops before going home. I walk home after being dropped off by a taxi and get to the front area.

I see Nathan's car parked meaning he's also back home and I'm still in shock that he works at the same school I attend. I decide to take a nap after locking the front door. I think I'm going to need a puppy now because this house is big and boring.

After three hours later my phone cannot stop vribrating and so I check the caller ID and see it's Nathalie.

"Hey."I say with my slivery voice and I hear Nathalie laugh.

"Hi,time to get ready,I'm fetching you in an hour or two."I smile as I check the time and it's still five in the afternoon.

"I think I need food after that nap."I get up and take out my leather skirt and white tank top with my white Nike Dunks.

"I'll buy it for you and Sne seems to be coming with us."Nathalie tells me and I smile as finally the three of us are going out.

"I still have the vodka from Lerato's birthday."

"Cool. See you in an hour or two...mwah my love."

"Mwah baby."I press the red button and decide to shower real quick with my lavender body wash and loofah. I tie my afro into a neat afro puff and then lotion my body. I wear my outfit and put some gold rings and necklace.

I wear my sneakers and take my round bag and some cash and do my make-up just keep the outfit cute. I put my phone in my bag as I lock the door and sit by the patio.

I see a unfamiliar black and white GTI stop by the gate and I immediately get up when I hear my name being called and I know Natalie's voice so I get up and walk to the car.

"360 nyana."Snethemba opens the door as I turn around and I can tell Natalie is taking a video.

"The infamous David."I say as I enter the back and see my friend who said she would not be able to make it and she was beautiful.

"Hello Nale."David says and I smile as we drive to the party.

"Hey David, Natalie and Sne."I reply and Natalie and Sne greet me back."Are you okay?"

"Yeah."Snethemba says and I smile before looking outside.

Later|10:33PM

I exit the house to get fresh air due to the musky air that is just filled with sweat and a house filled with drunk people.

She tugs in her hands in her leather jacket and looks at the sky as the half moon shined proudly on the sky with thousands of stars surrounding it.

"Beautiful huh?"She turns around,seeing Nathan look at the sky before looking at her.

"Yes."She replies before rubbing her eyes.

"Here you go."He says,making Naledi look at him and sees a bottle of water.She takes it and opens it."It helps sober up quickly."He explains before Naledi drinks the water in one go.

"Thank you."

"What are you doing here anyways?"Nathan asks and Naledi looks at him before looking away."Naledi?"

"I wanted to have some fun,be out there and socialise with my friends."Naledi explains before looking at Nathan."My aunty knows I am here."

"Okay- are you done so I can take you home?"He asks as he drinks his beer and she shurgs her shoulders.

Nathan chuckles and stares at her. He pulls his phone out of his pocket and unlocks it. He goes to call his brother who he accompanied to the party.

He was not a party person so his brother pushed him to go to the party."Hey."

"What do you want,I'm busy"Stephan says and Nathan chuckles.

"I am going home."

"Cool,enjoy."He replies and ends the call.

"I feel little headed."Naledi says, causing Nathan to furrow before holding her waist.

"Should have not drank that much?"Nathan says,helping her in the car and helps put her seatbelt on. He puts his beer car on the cup holder and puts his seatbelt on.

"Drinking and driving."Naledi says, causing Nathan to roll his eyes.

"This is my first can and you don't see me drinking now."Nathan says and Naledi laughs.

Naledi decides to sleep,feeling her eyes getting heavy and her body wanting to relax.
