Brady's Pov
I slumped into one of the stools at the breakfast bar and rested my head on the cold marble. I groaned and Conner pushed a cup of coffee towards me. "Drink that." I complied and took a sip while looking around the clean house.
"Laura and her friend cleaned everything last night and then her friend stayed over."
I tried my best to remember which of Laura's friends were at the party last night but I was completely blank "which friend?"
"Amelie, the blonde one, she's cute. Look at Laura's most recent Instagram post you'll know her."
I ignored the obvious crush conner had on Amelie "Ohhh yeah I saw it, loads of people in the comments were talking about me. Did something happen?"
Conner look shocked "wait you don't... yeah that was just about the thing that happened on your stream it's no big deal forget about it okay?"
I had completely forgotten that, I couldn't go into school today that's for sure I'd be harassed. I opted to message mom saying I was sick, she let me off and I spent the rest of the day rotting in my bed.
In the evening I decided to finally regain some productivity, I mustered up the energy to have a shower.
I almost vomited 2 times but it was worth it because when I left the bathroom and stepped into the hallway, Laura was standing there, mouth gaping open.
I was slightly self conscious standing there while she analysed my body but it felt good that for once it wasn't me staring at her.
She quickly snapped out of it and diverted her gaze anywhere but my eyes but that split second of reciprocation was all I needed for the confidence to ask my next question.
"Hey I was thinking of Chinese food for dinner, do you wanna walk around to the takeout place with me?" I asked as casually as possible, trying my best to pretend I wasn't one gust of wind away from being naked.
She nodded and ran into her room before I could say anything else.
"So that's, 2 chicken chow meins, egg fried rice and prawn crackers correct?" Repeated the nice man
I nodded and Laura smiled at him. "Okay sorry for the long wait but that'll be ready in 30 minutes."
I was glad I got to spend more time with Laura but the expression on her face made me think she felt otherwise.
I opened the door for her and we sat at the small table outside.
"Thanks for ordering for me." Laura said dryly, it was the first time since yesterday she's initiated any conversation between us. I knew I had to say something about it
"Laura I know what this is about." She let out a nervous giggle while looking everywhere but my face "no it's okay we REALLY don't have to-" I cut her off by putting my hand on her knee and leaning in closer to her.
"I'm sorry."
She looks down at the hand on her knee and then into my eyes. She seems nervous and... "I'm making you uncomfortable I'm sorry" I take my hand away and drag it down my face, she keeps eye contact with me though.
"what I did on Tuesday was not okay, I shouldn't have laid my hands on you without permission. I was genuinely just trying to get you in frame it wasn't a pervy excuse to get you on my lap I swear."
She looked at me slightly confused, we sat in silence for a while but then laura took a deep breathe.
"Look, I'm glad you said sorry and I'm sorry if I'm being weird but I'm just not really sure where my head is at and I'm not thinking straight... sorry I'm rambling, I forgive you."
It felt as though I was drowning and Laura had just thrown me a lifesaver, and I wanted to make sure she was feeling as relieved as me. "No keep rambling, what's been on your mind?"
She let out a deep sigh "well. I'm glad I only have 2 more days of school till Halloween break but I've been studying for my end of term tests so much that I haven't gotten a Halloween costume yet. And I can't find one tomorrow because I have a soccer match I don't even know why I'm still on the team I'm shit"
I perk up "what you play soccer?! I love soccer I can help you before you're match tomorrow!"
She smiled at me "really? That would be great!"
I sat there and listened to her venting until our food was ready. I could tell it was helping her she seemed to have a lot of pent up emotions. When I got the food I made sure to slow my walking pace on the way home so we could talk more. And I was unusually happy when people walked up to me and told me they were fans. I made sure she was included in all the pictures so I could see her smile when we were posing for them.
She turned to me "okay I'm done ranting your turn, what's on your mind?"
I shrugged "um I dunno"
Laura hit my arm "there's obviously something on your mind why won't you tell me?" She asked playfully
I would tell her what's been on my mind but I'm afraid it would make her uncomfortable again.

AHHHHH IM SO SORRY FOR NOT POSTING ngl I was NOT feeling the second half of this chapter I just want to get straight to the drama but I have to do this first but dw next chapter will be more interesting and longer!
So yeah sorry I haven't posted in 3 days but I have 0 followers so I figured nobody would rlly care, also I spent the week working at a nursery for FREE and my only free time was during their nap time but it felt wrong writing fanfiction with like 20 babies in the room yk?
I did actually do the Instagram post thing during work though it was SO HARD but worth the 40 minutes it took to photoshop
Anyways what's everyone thoughts on all the sounds getting taken off Tiktok I am personally about to throw a chair bc my favourite edits are all silent movies now </3
