"Okay, this is Jayla, Gabi, Owena, Drew and Fianna-" Jinx said, pointing at the five children.

"....Alright. And these are um-" Steve began.

"They're Dina's kids," Jinx nodded. The group nodded.

"Alright, everyone in! We've got a long ways to go," Tony said

----------

The children were quiet the whole way. Whenever one of the avengers would ask them a question, they'd turn to look at Jinx before giving short one or two word answers. Jinx sat in the middle. To her left were the twins, Owena and Gabi. To her right were Fianna, Drew and Jayla.

Fianna was holding Jinx's hand and seemed to be bouncing with excitement that only a child could have.

The twins kept glancing at each other and exchanging secret looks. If they were reading each other's minds, Natasha wouldn't be surprised.

Drew was also looking at Jayla a lot, who was holding his hand. He seemed to be the most nervous of all the children. He and Jayla were writing to each other on a piece of paper in a language that Natasha couldn't understand.

At one point Jinx zoned out and Fianna and Jayla glanced worryingly at her. Her eyes flashed black a few times, but nothing happened. Whatever conversation was happening between her and Shadow- the name Jinx had suggested they use for Athena- was all internal.

"So, um. What do you kids do for fun?" Sam asked, breaking the silence.

The kids glanced at Jinx who was still zoned out, before looking at Jayla, which confirmed Natasha's theory on their hierarchy of leadership. She didn't mean to notice this, but profiling was part of what she was raised to do.

"Uhm, we all really like reading. Fianna likes to draw and Drew likes poetry. Owena really likes whittling sticks and practicing archery and Gabi likes to hike. But the main thing we all like to do is train." Jayla said.

"What? You guys train?! You're children! You guys shouldn't be learning how to fight!" Steve exclaimed.

"Why not?" Jayla asked. Natasha noted her challenging tone.

"Children shouldn't have to fight! It's not right,"

Jayla paused for a moment before she spoke.

"The world isn't right. Never has been, probably never will be. So we have to protect ourselves,"

"That doesn't change the fact that you're children. You shouldn't have to protect yourselves, adults should protect you-"

"-And what happens when the adults are gone? Who protects us then? We have no one else but Jinx. Besides I'm fourteen. Not a child."

Steve opened his mouth, but Natasha stopped him.

"Steve, it's fine. Besides I was training at a much younger age in the red room," she reminded him. And it was quiet the rest of the way.

"Alright, welcome to avengers tower," Stark said.

"We've....already been here before," Gabriella told him.

"Yes, but last time you weren't welcome Chihuahua, so welcome. Some ground rules. Don't destroy my property, try not to kill anyone and stay out of the vents," he replied. Gabriella looked ready to break rule number two after the nickname, but Owena held her back from clawing out the billionaire's eyes.

"What's in the vents?" Drew asked slightly concerned.

"Me," Clint replied trying to look menacing.

"Alright, next I think that we should drop your stuff off in your rooms. JARVIS, are they ready yet?" Stark continued.
