Felix
The annoying, droning sound of the alarm wakes me from my peaceful sleep, its sound reminding me of the depressing day ahead.
Ugh
I roll over with my face in the pillow and stretch out my arm to silence the alarm clock, my hand missing the button a few times but I end up hitting it in the end. Sighing into the pillow, I roll over opening my eyes the bright, the morning sun bedazzling them but they quickly adjust. I throw my legs over the bed and sit upright, my body bobbing up and down slighlty from the springy matress. Throwing my arms out, I stretch relieving all the tension in my mucles from the awqward sleeping positions. A pain shoots through my neck.
"Ow,crap" I hiss " damm old matress" the matress was five years old and recently began to give me neck pains, maybe it was time to get a new one? Yeah, right mom has barley enough money to keep the house running and me and my brother's mouth fed.I quell back the tears threatening to release themselves and stand up and stumble towards my bathroom still groggy from sleep. Opening the door, I locate the switch to the left and press it illuminating the bathroom in a bright white light. My bathroom is small and cramped and barley has enough room to do anything, the shower resides on the left with a bathtub under it, the sink next to it which is coverd in an assortment of toiletries and the toilet next to it with its old, chipping cistern. In front of me is the mirror-dirty with small specks of toothpaste- I take a look at my reflection and rub my face with my hand, deciding that I don't need a to shave I decide to have a shower instead.
Stepping towards the shower I turn the tap, which is old and rusted from years of use, and let the water flow from the head the sound of the pattering water like a rain storm. Undressing, I take off my light blue shirt and toss it to the floor. I accidentally get a glimpse of my bare torso in the mirror, I stand up to get a full view. The view before me I hate, my stomach round and jiggily, not slim with toned abs. Yet somehow, my face had stayed slim and my legs had a surprising ammout of mucle on them, but not a lot weird I think to myself.
"Yeah, well thats what eating from stress will get you" I say to myself in a almost sarcastic voice. Stretch marks line the sides of my abdomen, however as so do cut marks, the scars a reminder of my constant pain and hatred towards my body.
I turn my back towards the mirror and continue to undress, not daring to get a second glance in the mirror.I finish undressing and hop into the shower, the warm water caressing my body and washing away pain, sending it spiraling into the drain. I begin to wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner, creating a thick lather that covers my long, black hair. Washing that away I wash the rest of my body with haste.
Stepping out of the shower, I wrap a towel tightly around my waist and exit the bathroom towards my bedroom."Felix, hurry up or you'll be late from school!" my mom shouted from downstairs.
"Yeah, won't be a minute" I replied.
Hurrying over to my large oak wardrobe, I throw open the doors and choose what to wear for the day. Picking out a pair of black skinny jeans, a loose blue crew neck T-shirt and a pair of combat boots and not to mention my grey briefs. I quickily put my clothes on and collect my backpack from the floor, rushing to get out of my bedroom.
I rush to get downstairs and almost fall in the process but I quickily reclaim myself. As I walk off the last step I'm greeted with a big hug from my mother, she wraps her arms around my back and inresponse I do the same. My mother isn't very tall, just reaching over 5ft, but just manages to reach upto my chest without any heels on.
"Uh, hi mom. Are you okay?" I ask
"Yes honey, all is good. i just missed you wilst i was on the night shift yesterday, that's all" My mother works as a nurse in the ER, the job barley pays enough to keep the house afloat let alone keep me and my brother, James, fed. She gives me a quick peck on the cheek and returns to the kitchen where she seems to be doing the dishes.
My brother James is sat at the table with a steaming coffee mug in front of him. He's staring out of the window and into the garden, daydreaming maybe? I decide to brake him out of his trance by greeting him.
"Hi James"
"Wha- oh, hi" he replies, seemingly confused.
"You good there?" I ask
"Yeah just day dreaming" Replies James whilst shaking his he'd slightly.
As suspected.
Looking over to the clock above the kitchen window I am alerted to my possibility of being late and yelp in response: the clock reads 8:35AM, school starts at 8:45 and taking into consideration that I live quiet far away I had to get out as soon as possible.
I go over and kiss my mother on the cheek and say goodbye, I wave and say goodbye to James and then head out of the front door. Greeted by a warm summers day with a slight breeze I take a breath and exhale and start my journey to school.
Vote and comment for the next part ☺
Sat, 27th JuneA/N: I'm getting to work on the second part, my intention of the story is to make it slow but with a lot of love, wink wink XD. Also, this is my first time writing any boyxboy novels so it may not be upto standards like others.
P.S, the storys main character is supposed to be a representation of me. I did this so I could put a lot of emotion into it.
XOXXO
