Will Schmidt

As I drove to the set, there was only one thing on my mind: the mysterious Ava whom I bumped into at Starbucks. For some reason, I couldn't get her out of my head.

Before I realized it, I was at the set. I knocked on the door and waited for someone to let me in- I was early after all. I pulled out my phone; 11:47- Sunday, August 18. Right, we had agreed to take the day off today. Nobody would let me in.

I sighed and walked back to my car.

Eventually, I locked the door and jumped on my bed, pulling out my favorite book from my drawer, Lotus Dreams, by Ava Lee.

I made it halfway through the book again until, ding!

I put my bookmark in, pulling my phone out of the bedsheets.

'Hey Will'

'Everyone's going to Lou Malnati's'

'You wanna come with?'

I sighed, looking at my surroundings. I was already ready for the day, and it couldn't hurt actually socializing with people.

'Sure'

I ran my hand through my hair, hoping it looked better than I thought it did.

20-some minutes later, I was at Lou Malnati's. I went through the doors hoping to see someone I knew.

"Will!" A voice shouted. I turned to see my best friend, Travis, walking towards me. I smiled, happy to see a familiar face.

"Hey, Trav. How's Katie?"

"She's doing well, she wants to get another goldfish, but I think that eight is enough."

Surprisingly, I zoned out, watching the woman behind Travis.
