"A Growing Suspicion"

As the palace maids prepared our tea, we waited for a while, as they left, he started the conversation.

"Im sorry for bothering you like this, but can i ask you for advice?"

"Advice?, what would that be about your highness?"

He felt hesitant for a bit but he spoke, "Its about, well lets just say its from one of my close peers, not mine ok?, and he told me the other day that, he met the girl he had a crush on after 3 years of separation and he realized deep down after he saw her again that he still likes her, so what would be the best thing for that person to do?"

Ohhh, is he talking about his situation? Aww, that's kind of cute.

"I know we aren't very well acquainted yet considering this is the first time that I've converse to you ever since the debutante ball, but you're the only person i can talk to about this."

"Pfft, hahhhahaha," i giggled for a little bit. "Your Highness, are you really sure you're not talking about yourself?"

He blushed in emberassment, "Its~its my close peer, i swear!"

He's definitely cute.

"Well, if you say so, but before i give you my suggestions, i need to ask first. Does he truly genuinely love that person?"

He went silent for a moment and replied, "Yes he does, the times that he had with her was more special than any lavish gift that he had ever received, and he only realized that after she was taken away from him."

His eyes looked saddened.

That's indeed the male lead for you.

"Well, it may be truly the hardest thing to do but, tell that person to confess about what he feels towards her, and not regret anything, because taking that one huge risk may be the biggest regret that'll happen in his life, but atleast he tried, whats the point of living if for once you wont say how your heart yearns. Failing, or getting rejected is normal due to the fact that its the only way for us to learn, grow, and move forward, because we humans only live so short, so dont waste that little moment and be straightforward because he'll only realize her true value once he truly loses that person."

Though i may be advancing the romance part of the story but its fine, they deserve it atleast, because in the original Kain didn't have the opportunity to confess because after the miasma situation worsened it brought calamity to the empire and killed every life that existed here causing the tragedy ending to happen.

He nodded his head, "Yeah, you are right." He smiled, "Im glad i have a friend to speak up about this stuff."

Who would have thought that the hated villainess and the male lead would be helping each other out, i am glad i chose this path.

"Thank you your highness for considering me as your friend who you can trust with."

As we finished drinking our tea, both of us ended our conversation, i told him lastly, "It seems like it's getting late. I should head back now. Thank you for this amazing experience, Kain."

"And thank you for that advice."he said proudly.

I stood up, walked away, and waved my goodbyes. As i was strolling back, it was dim and dark that i could barely see what corner i was in.

Has perhaps the servants not lighten the halls yet? It is so dark i can't even see, from there, i saw an opened door, and light was passing through it.

Ahh, it must be a servant bringing a lamp, i should go there and ask for light. Immediately, i ran towards there, and to my suprise, there was no one present in that room, but the imperial orb was shining enough to make me see my surroundings.

Oh, i thought it was a light from a lamp, but undoubtedly, as i kept staring at the orb it felt like it was pulling me in, so i stepped forward, when i was finally close enough my body moved on its own and i touched it, suddenly my ears started ringing the same sound that i heard when coming to my transmigration. My head was in pain, and i heard screams circling in my mind, and a clear, loud voice muttered.

'Mother, Father, no!'

'This is for the best Cynthia.'

Then, a hand was placed on my shoulders, and he said, "Your grace, are you alright? You seem distressed."

To my surprise, it was the emperor, "Your majesty!, i am truly sorry."i bowed.

"It is fine, but what brings you here in my throne room?"

Ehh, the ringing disappeared. As i kept looking at the emperor, i felt something strange being near him. It feels like he's becoming scary.

"Ahh, I got lost for a moment since the halls were too dark for me to see where i was going."

"It's that so?, im sorry about that. It was my order to keep the palace dark until 7 since the imperial orb is in its phases, where it relies on darkness to gain energy."

"I see. Well, once again, i am terribly sorry for what i did, but i shall take my leave now."

"Here, before you do take my lamp since i shall stay here for the time being."

"Thank you." i bowed, "Once again, farewell, your majesty."

"Yes, goodbye, your grace."

As i walked away, he stared at her and thought, she's starting to become a nuisance.
