Astrid's POV:

"come on henry. it's not like you are meeting your girlfriend's parents in middle school after they caught you making out" weird example I know but that is exactly is how this idiot is acting right now. and frankly, even my parents are acting weird. they are behaving like Henry is my crush and we have a project together. you know what I mean when your mother calls him dear all the time and gives him cookies she baked while you both were working on the dinner table. or when your father insists he stays till dinner and interrogates him during it, and worse drives him home which god knows what had been discussed during that ride. safe to say I never told them about any guy I had a crush on to this day. "I'm not nervous you are the one acting like her father found out about her boyfriend after they had an agreement not to date till their forties" Am I acting like that? maybe I am. Could you blame me though, it was my dad who invited him not my mother who had been brought to me by Heather- my best friend -which was nerve-racking. "let's just go and there is no need to be nervous right" I asked nervous. "yup lets go before you faint okay." and with that we are both entering the house.

"OH Mother we arrived" I shouted. As expected my mother was the first to come out of the kitchen and I didn't even wanna know what my parents were doing together alone. "oh Henry dear, how are you doing? you look hungry dear, don't worry the food is almost finished" and with that, the night started. "I'm doing great Mrs. Hofferson thank you for asking. the smell of food, however, is so unique I can't wait to taste the food." I think Henry just activated Mr parent's charming mood cause right now my dear mother just found her golden child. RIP Aaron and I know my mother just abandoned us. "Henry! how about we go to the study room until the food is finished? I have something I think you will love to see." my father thankfully came to the rescue. with a nod from Henry that was all it took for them to go toward the study room. "well that was an interesting dynamic" a new voice said and it startled me. "Ms. Heather is here in my house oh what has this world come to for a famous singer to be in this simple household," I said surprisingly yet teasely.

Heather has been my best friend for years. even after she got scouted during college and she became the famous singer she is now, her coming by is very normal. 'I crave normality' is what she says to me, also I'm pretty sure that her personal Assistant is giving her a lot of normality in her very high-paced life. "oh come on Astrid you finally can bring your songs to life, and didn't tell me. I miss so much when I'm on tour" she whines to me. "it's not like I'm writing my songs to Hiccup himself, he is just a producer." she gave me a weird look which made me confused "What" I ask. "you don't know who the person you are working with is?" she asked. "he said that he is a producer at GH studio and that he is thinking about releasing a song for himself. which is why we are working together." I answered her. "he said that? Wait a minute here go help your mom in the kitchen." after that, she broke into running upstairs. weird but okay.

Henry's POV:

"hey lad how are you doing?" Astrid's dad asked as we entered the room. "I'm good sir" he motions for me to take a seat and got something out from the safe behind the desk. "listen lad. you might not remember me but I know you. I and your father were more than good friends. before he and your mother passed away he gave me something for you and your sister." I was shocked cause what are the chances in millions that this could happen? slim but here we are. "after your parents passed Gobber took you both in and sadly I lost contact with him due to moving a lot around the country. recently Gobber and I got back in contact. I wanted to contact you badly but I decided to wait and luck brought you to my daughter I guess." every word that comes out of his mouth gives me a shockwave more intense than the one before it.

he knew my father. it must have been when Hannah was around 3 or 4. It will make sense because not me or Hannah remember any other friends from our parents except gobber. yet both of our parents had friend groups of their own so it is a possibility. but the important part is that this a part of my parents that I did not know about. a part which I could finally find out about more.

"HENRY HADDOCK. Explain yourself" a voice I thought would only hear in about two weeks from now asks. "what the heck? what are you doing here" I ask as I see Heather barging inside the room. "I'm a special guest at this house for a few days but that is beside the point. why does Astrid think that you are only a proudecer and not the famous singer Hiccup" Heather is like another sister to me I met her a few years back when she started at the studio with Gobber after being scouted, and ever since then we have been friends we even worked on some duets together. she is one of the few people I trust and one of the fewer people who I trust enough to know and meet my sister. "cause I'm on a break. telling her I was a producer was the nearest thing to the truth without it being a lie" I said looking at her. "when Hannah said you are on a break I didn't believe her but now I need to tell her this." I raised my eyebrow at her. "you are gonna snitch on me to my little sister" She nodded. "yes. she would love to know how her workaholic brother is working even during his break" Yes introducing these two to each other is the best decision I have ever made, note the sarcasm. "but I will not do if you referred her to Gobber" she says. "I would also like that very much lad." Astrid father said for the first time since Heather broke in screaming. "I already did he is gonna contact her next week." I said. "during your concert in Vegas. really haddock!" she gave me an unimpressed look. which I returned by giving her a sheepish smile. "your sister is gonna find out" I was gonna say something when we heard Astrid come in saying the food was ready.
