The day started like any other day as Rhaella rolled over in bed as she checked her phone, just more unsetting updates on the unrest going on in the world. Some days she wishes she could live a simpler life away from the constant worries of if shes going to be able to afford her bills as well as eat properly as the rising prices of well practically everything that after her rent, electric and phone bill as well as her monthly bus pass so she can work she's left with a whopper $250 for two weeks of food and any other necessities that's she might need. As well as the constant anxiety that's going untreated because in this society who can afford to pay for medication. So some days it takes her all to get out of bed and go into work as she knows for a fact that she can not afford to miss any time that isn't absolutely necessary. She's currently working as a hostess and waitress at a high end restaurant to pay for her house as the house was the last thing she has to remember her mother by as it was her mom's and the mortgage just needed a few more years of constant saving and making sure that she takes every shift that's offered to her and the home would be hers. All this hard work and she'd have a piece of her mom forever. It and been 1 almost 2 years since she passed and it still feels like just yesterday that they were up late joking on the porch.
Back to the current issue on hand she needed to get up and ready for the day, a shower and a quick breakfast well more like a snack but it was better to put something into her stomach no matter how little it was better then nothing. At least she can have dinner on her shift that's once of the bright sides of a restaurant job the food that she didn't have to pay for as long as she worked shifts over 8 hours. She had to hair so black that it it had hues of blue and purple that shimmered under the sun, and was fairly pale but she could definitely tan if she had the time or money to spend her days at the river but alas she spends her time working and her free times is spent sleeping and fixing the small things she can on the house that doesn't need a professional to fix. So at the moment she feels like a ghost as pale as she is with her big waterie blue eyes. She gathers her small tote bag with her daily needed of a diva cup (just in case and you never know) and a change of underwear as well as her comfy foldable flats for after work and a couple protein snacks and some cheep packages of hard candy just in case she gets extra hungry or needs a pick me up after her shift. A light jacket just in case it starts to rain and her lighter, pocket knife for protection and of course her phone and it's battery packs since she's not allowed to plug her phone in at her job. She's officially ready to head out to catch her bus, gods permitting her bus isn't running late again, she can't afford to be late again. Hopefully that today will be a better day, unknown to her her whole world was about to change.
