As she locks the door she prays that things will get better but she needs to leave before she's late to work she heads east as she passed the small convenience store around the corner she waves to the owners, she's known them almost as long as she can remember, she's quit busy worrying about if she needed to pick up an extra shift on Saturday it being 1 of the 2 days she's allowed her self off. She could really use the money to patch up the draft coming in from the glass door in the kitchen. She hardly noticed that as she was absent mindedly walking and debating choices she didn't notice that she had some how gotten way off the beaten path she's not sure how long she'd been just standing in the road before she saw the headlights coming at her, it happened so fast she didn't have time to respond. She closes her eyes and braces for impact as she does there's a flash of light and she passes out. She's transported to a small mountain that was heavily forested with ever greens of every variety with a lake as she does a pair of yellowish gold eyes notice a shimmer by the lakes edge.
