Thirty years had passed since the events of the Jade story. Ian and Sanjay, Jade's long-lost friends had undergone an incredible transformation due to a mysterious accident involving a potent glue. Ian had become Spider Glue, a superhero with the power to swing from buildings and climb to surfaces like a spider. Sanjay, Ian's younger brother, was now Slug Man, a slimy creature capable of shooting laser beam from the emblem on his chest and forming claylike arms. The two of them joined forces with Jade, her brother Zack, and two skilled fighters they had met along the way, Dark Shadow and Vanny. Together, they became known as the Protectors of Earth. For years, The Protectors of Earth believed themselves to be real people with genuine superhuman abilities. But one day, they discovered a sad truth. They were actually made of paper, and their world was a fabrication, a mere set piece in a bedroom in a house. Each of them was an intricate work of paper art, lovingly crafted by someone unknown to them. Their minds reeled as they tried to make sense of their situation. How could they be fake? As the Protectors of Earth tried to cope with their new-found knowledge, their world began to change.
The stately bedroom that had once housed their paper world was cleared out, leaving them with nothing but empty space. They were no longer able to feel the gentle breezes or hear the distant city sounds that had once been a part of their world. The only thing left was the bond between the five of them. As they struggled to adapt to these new circumstances, Vanny and Dark Shadow drew closer together. An unexpected love interest had blossomed between them, and the two of them found solace in each other's company. Meanwhile, Ian and Jade found that their friendship had developed into something more. They experimented with their powers, trying to find a way to tear a hole in the paper and escape. They successfully did and found out that the house owner was David, a young boy who love to draw and is creative. It been revealed that due to a meteor crash, not only affected his own toys, but everything else in his own house. Metals, pens, stationary, etc came to life. Their home was now a pan where they laugh and love each other despite their paper existence.
