The group of Solarian commanders stood ready in the meeting room.
Military captains from many Solairan cities...
Elliott walked up ahead of the crowd, Desmond and Ronin tailing him.
"Good morning, captains!" Elliott greeted!
"Today's meeting is our final one before the raid on Severance's base." He began, the screen behind him lighting up. Showing a blueprint of the base, and its many layers.
"Our forces will be split into three different ranks, and we will surround in base in a circular formation, about a mile out. We will be split into 3 formation rings. First are our raiders, our initial line of attack. Who will rush the walls and gates surrounding the base."
"Once the walls are breached! Our cavalry moves in! Providing back up to the raiders and putting more pressure on to the PMC's forces."
"Finally, our saboteurs! Once enough chaos has been created, you will move in, wrap up any lose ends...and then we blow the base to hell!!! We will send a message to Severance. THAT WE DON'T WANT THEM HERE!"
Elliott smiled and took a deep breath.
"Does everyone understand?" Elliott asked.
The crowd let out a combined cheer of "Aye!"
"Good! We march to the base in two days! PREP YOUR MEN!"
Styx sat quietly in his quarters on the ship he arrived in.
His mind was...elsewhere.
The voice that had spoken to him...what was it?
He couldn't for the life of him figure it out...
He had poured over as many resources as he could find. Trying to find some reference to what it could have been...to no avail.
His current topic of research was that of possible mental illness. Focusing primarily on schizophrenia.
....He doubted his own reasoning.
Styx's concentration was broken by the entrance of Parker.
"I have unfortunate news." Parker began.
"And that's?" Styx asked, tilting his head.
"I've done a bit of...scrying. And, well, the solarian forces are mobilizing- or, they are getting ready to."
...Styx groaned.
"Did you tell Ferdinand already?" He asked.
"Yes. He's put the base onto higher alert- but I wanted to let you know as well."
...Parker looked around at the room...
"This place is a mess." He commented.
"So?"
"What do you mean so? Clean up!"
Styx growled and shut his book...
"Are you still looking into that voice you heard?" Parker asked.
"Yes. But I've found...nothing. I've considered it might have been...well, a hallucination." Styx answered.
"I think that is a fine explanation." Parker replied.
"Now, clean up." He added, before leaving...
...Styx sighed and started to use magic to sort the books....
As he did though...the feeling returned to him...the feeling of being watched.
"...Who ever is there, show yourself-" Styx growled.
