The battle had raged on for quite a while.
Multi-colored blood, and bodies of Solairan's and Severance soldiers littered the base.
Sakuna ducked under the punch from Parker, bringing her swords up and slashing his mask.
Parker stumbled back, his armor littered with cuts from Sakuna.
Sakuna was similar, parts of her armor glowing with magic from Parker's strikes.
"You done yet?" Asked Sakuna.
Parker grunted, rubbing his mask...
He quickly looked around the battlefield...
His assassins were all injured, there was more Solarian than Severance...
Ferdinand was still locked in a battle with Elliott...
Parker quickly reached out to sense Styx...
He couldn't.
"...Yes, I believe I am." Parker said, before he and his assassins vanished in an explosion of jentra symbols.
"You should have just killed him!" Shouted Deq as he landed next to Sakuna.
"Shut it." Sakuna grunted.
Elliott ducked under the swipe from Ferdinand but couldn't counter the downward strike that followed.
He fell to the ground, Urumi in hand.
Both men were severely damaged.
Elliott was covered in bruises, and Ferdinand in cuts.
"Im...going to crack your skull open..." Ferdinand grunted between pants.
Elliott groaned as he tried to sit up, only to be hit back down again.
Ferdinand began to laugh!
Elliott had a chance...he swung at Ferdinands legs.
The blades cut through his armor like butter, and Ferdinand collapsed.
"GODDDAMIT-!" Ferdinand shouted in pain, dropping his tonfa's.
Elliott weakly got to his feet...and swung again.
Ferdinands head was cut into pieces.
There was a cheer from many resting Solarians!!!
Zero, finally, burst back onto the surface.
He saw Elliott standing triumphantly...his sword held above his head. Letting the whip like blades of the urumi scatter around him.
Immediately, the plan switched gears.
Quickly the base was evacuated.
Elliott, Desmond, Ronin, Echo, Deq, Zero, Price, and Matthias stood as close as they could get to the base, and still be in safety.
"Charges should be planted." Price said, rolling his shoulders.
Elliott looked down at the tablet in his hand...the button to detonate the base...ready.
"Come on man. You can do it." Zero assured, patting his friend on the back.
Elliott sighed...then hit the button.
Styx laid half dead on the floor, listening as the base began to screech...the detonation had begun.
He was silent...pondering.
All this work, all the time spent to get to Ryoiki...to find Aria...for what? Immediately dying in an explosion?
Was a shame really.
