It'd had been at least three hours since they had gotten trapped together.  The room was small, dark, and quiet.  They didn't know what caused the elevator to shutdown or why it was taking so long for anyone to fix it, but here they were.  The only light coming from the lighter Otetz would  occasionally flick out of boredom,  temporarily showing the face of his new roommate Colin.
They had been sitting in silence for quite sometime,  if not the whole time.  Listening to the elevator shaft creek and the occasional phone notification.  Otetz was getting restless; soon to be Colin's problem.  In the short time of knowing each other however, Colin had already learned the signs of his.  Otetz stopped flicking the lighter on and off, holding the button to keep the flame alive before leaning into it. " Colin." " Hm?" " Are you scared of the dark?" He chuckled under his breath and shook his head. " Maybe in the woods, but it's just you and I here." " Well maybe you should be more scared then." He lifted his thumb, letting the fire go out before shuffling across the floor towards him. " For all you know,  we could be stuck in here for days. I might have to eat you." "Tragic. If that happens,  I guess I'll make that sacrifice. " With assumed permission,  Otetz leaned in guided by their dim shadow, and bit Colin's shoulder with little to no force. He stiffened up before shaking the other off of him. " Did you really just do that?" " Yes." Was the only reply he received before getting rushed again.  This time they actually bit him full force, making him shout. Colin reached back and slapped him across the face." Stop that!"
" Do it again. " Otetz muttered,  sitting himself up properly.
" I'm sorry,  what?" Unsure if he was into it or if it was a dare, Colin moved back from him." Reflex, sorry. I dropped my lighter though." There was a long moment of silence before Colin turned on his phone flashlight to find it for him. " You're hopeless. " " Yeaaah. So why don't you save me?" " What?" " You got a church, right? Cult of Bacchus or whatsever." Colin pinched the bridge of his nose." Dionysus , but yeah. It's about free will. I can't just convert you." " Why not? Jehovahs witnesses try to."  " Well, we're a little different. " " How?" " You mean aside from actually believing in freewill, consent, and enjoying life? I don't know what you mean. " Otetz flopped on the floor,  rolling onto his back.  " Don't forget drugs and arson. " Colin sighed, lowering his head. " OH dionysus,  please get me away from this idiot." And suddenly,  the elevator lights flickered and they were mobile once more. " Wow, a miracle...You should contact the catholic church!" Almost as if by magic, the elevator stopped once again.  Colin wept, Otetz grinned, and that's the end.
