I Get a Glance of Death
I drifted into a fitful sleep, the darkness of the night enveloping me like a heavy shroud. But even in the realm of dreams, there was no escape from the tangled web of fate that I was now bound to.
In my slumber, I found myself wandering through the shadowy corridors of Camp Half-Blood, my footsteps echoing against the silence of the night. I stumbled upon a desolate bus stop, its eerie emptiness sending shivers down my spine. And there, amidst the gloom, I saw them—the Fates, their ancient faces illuminated by the pale moonlight.
Three old ladies sat huddled together, their gnarled fingers knitting furiously as they wove the threads of destiny. I watched in silent horror as they gazed upon me with eyes as ancient as time itself, their needles slicing through the fabric of reality with an air of finality. And then, with a swift motion, they cut the yarn, severing the delicate strands of life with a single stroke. I knew then, with a sickening certainty, that the end would come for someone, that death had claimed its prize.
But before I could comprehend the weight of their actions, I found myself drawn towards a yawning cavern, its gaping maw swallowing me whole. From the depths of the earth, a voice echoed, cold and cruel, sending chills racing down my spine.
I knew who it was immediately. It was the voice of Kronos, ancient and malevolent, dripping with malice and intent. His laughter reverberated through the cavern, a haunting melody that echoed in the depths of my soul.
I knew then that I stood on the opening to Tartarus, that the forces of chaos and destruction lurked just beyond the veil. And as I gasped for breath, sweat beading on my brow, I awoke with a start, the echoes of Kronos' laughter still ringing in my ears.
For a moment, I lay there in the darkness, my heart racing with the remnants of fear and uncertainty. What had I gotten myself into?
