Zane's perspective:
"Ready to meet my parents?" Meghan smiled. Nervously, I scratched my head a little bit.
"I will admit that I am a bit... nervous..."
"Don't be. They're pretty open minded. Here, I'll knock." Meghan smiled at me before knocking on the door.
"Coming! Who's there!" I heard a woman's voice cheering happily. As I watched, the door opened, and she stared at me before staring back at Meghan
"Hey mom, I'm back."
"Welcome home, dear." She hugged Meghan and I smiled
"Dear, what's- Meghan!" A man I assume to be her father cheered before he went to the both of them and joined in on the hug. After a moment of warm silence, they backed away from each other.
"Mom, dad, this is Zane. Zane, meet my parents." Meghan introduced us and I gave them a polite bowing gesture.
"Greetings, to Mr. and Mrs. Castellano. I am Zane Nguyen. An honor to meet you both." I spoke formally and her father let out a hearty laugh.
"No need for any of that Mister or Misses crap here. We're all casual here. Come on in." He announced happily while I had an owlish expression on my face and they headed back into the house.
"Come on Zane." Meghan smiled at me and motioned me into the house to which I followed behind her and immediately took my shoes off.
"Huh, you don't need to do that you know. Stick to whatever you're comfortable with." Meghan noted in a humorous tone
"I'm sorry... old habit of mine..."
"Don't worry, it's cute." Meghan smiled while slinging her bag over her shoulder and with her free hand, she placed her index finger over my lips.
"So, Zane, are you staying with us?" Meghan's mother asked kindly
"Yes mam. May I ask if there is a guest bedroom?" I replied respectfully before she snickered a bit.
"Just call me Sarah and my husband Henry."
"Of course... Sarah." I spoke in a panic and she giggled
"Anyways, to answer your question, we have no guest room."
"Oh."
"Which is why he's bunking with me." Meghan shrugged
"Oh? You don't say." Sarah noted in a surprised manner
