"A hostage situation is developing in Florida. For this operation, I require Condor, Jinyiwei, Kali, Thermite, and Buck." Six announced on the intercom
"Looks like you're going on your first mission." Meghan smiled at Zane who nodded
"So I will... I wonder how this will go." Zane spoke as he finished his stretching exercises.
"I know you got this. It's just a casual day for you." Meghan spoke while trying to ease his nerves. It had been a week ever since the new sibling operators had joined team Rainbow. During this time frame, Zane had been able to make a few friends including Meghan, Sebastien, Mike, Jalal, Saif, and Sam among a few others.
"Maybe, but I used to be a solo act before I joined team Rainbow. This is a new experience for me."
"With the scrimms that we've been doing, I would say that you have a solid idea of how everyone works together." Meghan assured him. Whenever there would be scrimmages, Zane would be assigned random teammates and despite many of them currently not okay with him, Zane was able to adapt and assist them more times than not.
"That was all just instinct. Plus, this is a team game. We have to bring the best out of each other."
"Maybe you can bring the best out of me one day." Meghan teased Zane who stared at her with a confused and blushing expression.
"Whenever we work together, sure." Zane replied albeit in an uncertain way
"You're cute, Zane."
"..."
"What, cat got your tongue?" Meghan teased him again
"Yeah... Anyways, I need to head to Six's office. Thank you for being my training partner, Meghan."
"No problem. Just let me know whenever you need someone to train with." Meghan replied as Zane took his leave
"..." Meghan observed him as he walked off, deep in her thoughts.
Kira's Perspective:
"And that is the sitrep." Six had just finished explaining everything to us.
"When do we deploy?" I asked her curiously after taking in the details and processing the information
"You will deploy in 30 minutes. Get ready." Six ordered as everyone nodded and went to grab their gear. As my brother and I prepared our gear, I could not help but be a little bit ecstatic. I have learned a few things from my brother and now that we are here in team Rainbow, I can truly show him what I am capable of.
