Kakashi's POV

Sumire continuously paced back and forth around the room. She's clearly anxious about something judging by the uneasy expression she had on her face right now, but she still looked so breathtakingly beautiful nonetheless.

She was wearing one of the clothes she bought yesterday and I can't help but be beguiled at her stunning vision. It was a simple black dress that had puffed sleeves and reached just above her knees, the dark shade of the fabric made the color of her eyes and hair stand out even more.

Her long locks cascaded freely down her back, a stunning blend of silver-blonde with hints of black at the ends. The amethyst necklace I gave her was the only jewelry she was wearing.

She looked so meek and fragile, like a dainty flower you could find in a garden.

The weapons pouch on her waist as well as the arm gloves and shinobi sandals on her limbs were a stark contrast to the feminine look she had going on, but it managed to complement her attire, a picture of beauty yet completely battle-ready.

She exclaimed out of the blue, "My stomach still hurts. Let me just go to the bathroom real quick!"

I sighed deeply as I watched Sumire go to the bathroom for the fifth time this morning. We already delayed our departure for an hour because she suddenly felt "unwell", but I have suspicions that she was just chickening out about returning to the Leaf village.

After a couple of minutes locking herself inside the washroom, she walked out with her shoulders slumped down and headed for the bed, letting herself fall face down on the mattress.

My silver-haired girl looked like she didn't have any intention of standing up from her spot, but she turned her head to glance at me before speaking,"I think my body isn't in the best condition to travel today. Maybe we could extend for one more day?"

"I could carry you all the way to Konoha if you're unwell." She gave me a frown to signify her disappointment, but I only smirked at her and moved across the room to sit next to her as she remained motionless on the bed.

"Why aren't you wearing your mask? Please put it back on because that smirk is annoying me right now." She complained while lazily lifting her arm, attempting to reposition the mask back on my face but failed to do so.

"I don't need to bother wearing a mask when it's just you and me. It would only be in the way if I kissed you, wouldn't it?" Her cheeks instantly turned pink. I love how she easily blushes every time I tease her like this.

A pillow got thrown in my face out of nowhere. I could've dodged that easily but I did not, making my girlfriend giggle as she commented, "That's for always teasing me."

"What a powerful throw you got there, love. I guess you're feeling better and back to your usual self now." I smugly replied as I pulled her up from the bed. "So are we leaving now or am I gonna have to carry you?"

"Fine... let me just pack all my stuff."

I had already sealed all her items into storage scrolls earlier while she kept returning to the bathroom a couple of times.

"Already did that for you." I replied while pulling my mask up, then proceeded to guide Sumire to the door, sensing that she needed a bit of encouragement to leave.

Strangely, as we were about to pay when we were checking out of the inn, the front desk personnel told us that our bill was already settled.

So I asked the woman in charge since I was curious about it, "Who paid for it?"

The personnel glanced at my girlfriend and smiled, "This inn is owned by the Akinari family. You are always welcome to stay here, miss."

"Akinari.... was Eiji here?" Sumire asked, looking surprised when her friend's name was mentioned. I already hate that man even if I hadn't met him yet. I still hadn't forgotten that he attempted to kiss Sumire back at Tanzaku Gai. I had no right to be mad back then, but I cannot help it. I loathed him ever since that incident.
