~Saella Moretti~
I wake up early from a nightmare as usual. This time, it was about my family all taunting me as I sat in a glass box. My brothers all have guns in their hands as they shoot at the glass box, causing some cracks but never any holes. Sam and all my friends are all there, laughing at my helplessness.
I wake panting and sweating, my heart racing. I stood up, throwing the covers off me and ran my hand through my messy hair. Today was the day I was meeting my overly large family, I mean why do these people have so many kids?
I quickly get dressed, wearing a white blouse, black blazer, black tights and a cream skirt. I wear my white trainers and run a brush through my wavy hair. I sigh as I gather some of my files together, and then I head downstairs, my files beneath my arm as I tie my hair in a ponytail.
"I'm heading out!" I call over my shoulder as I walk past the dining hall. I hear someone standing up and Dan runs out after me.
"Where are you going?" He asked, confused.
"To my office, I have files to sort out," I explain, grabbing my car keys off the hook.
"What about when the rest of the family gets here?" He questions me again and I sigh.
"What time are they getting here?"
"Around 5 pm, why?"
"I'll make sure I'm home don't worry," I leave him standing in the doorway as I climb into my car and drive off.~~~~
I arrive at my office and see Sam lounging back in his chair in front of his desk. He has a fresh bruise on his cheek and cut knuckles, but he is also eating a red apple.
"Green apples are better than red, Sam. I thought you knew that?" I tease, watching him turn to me with a smile.
"Your Highness has made an appearance! And also, red apples are better than green, I thought you knew that" He teases right back.I scoff, walking over and ruffling his hair.
"Oi! I told you to stop doing that!" He pouted and I laughed, a genuine laugh. I watch his eyes sparkle with joy as I laugh and wonder how much he has missed my laugh because well I can't even remember the last time I laughed easily around him, mainly because of the selective mutism thing but what I went through doesn't help.
"My cousins and their lot are coming round tonight and unfortunately I can't escape it. If I could, I'd stay here all day but unfortunately, my Dad has decided that it is urgent I'm there," I tell him, leaning on the counter.
"You have to give them some credit, El, they haven't seen you in years if not longer so of course they are going to be ecstatic to see you, I would be too you know," He reasons and I nod and move away from the counter.
"How many files and documents do I have to go through?" I ask, getting down to business.
"A lot, so I hope you're hand isn't hurting right now, it will be by the end of it," He says, smiling softly. I nod, knowing he is probably right when he adds, "Oh, and don't worry about food, I'll bring you some for lunch later," I sigh but nod, when Sam wants to give me something he will, no matter what.

I finally stopped at around half 4 and sighed, the sky was beginning to set already as it was winter, I sat there for a moment, watching the sky turn from blue to a pretty mix of pink, red and oranges. With a smile, I stand up, gather a few files I need to look at tonight and leave my office. After bidding Sam goodbye, I climb into my car and drive off, not bothering to drive too fast. I take a detour, not caring if I'm late for the family reunion.
After an hour, I head home where I see a bunch of cars parked out front and I sigh, this will be a very long evening.
I walk in the front door and hear people talking all at once.
"What time did you say she'd be home again, Dan?" I heard Dad ask and Dan quickly replied.
"She said she'd be home before 5, but it's now half 5 and she isn't answering her phone."I go stand in the doorway and see a load of people, about 17 males who I'm assuming are my cousins and 8 adults and then my siblings and Dad. Seb spots me but stays silent as everyone rushes around. I eventually clear my throat and everyone turns to me.
"Ella! Where have you been?" Dad stresses and I shrug, moving a bit closer into the room. I started to wish Sam was here, just his presence alone calmed me. I move to Seb who wraps his arm around my shoulder as a form of comfort.
I notice two elderly people watching me sadly, the woman with tears running down her face and I already know she is staring at the smaller scars on my face. I wonder what she will think when she sees all the rest of them.
"Saella?" The older woman asks, her voice hoarse. I give a small nod and she sobs, running forward and embracing me in a tight bear hug. I hug her back slightly, enjoying the warmth I get from it.
"Oh, my baby, is it really you?" She asks, still crying as she cradles my face. I nod and relief fills her face as she kisses my forehead gently. "I'm your Nonna, and the grump over here is your Nonno, oh it's so good to see you again my piccola farfalla,"
Dad steps forward and touches Nonna gently on her shoulder, she turns to him, a slight glare on her face.
"Mamma, so che la vedi da molto tempo, ma anche tutti gli altri vogliono incontrarla." Dad says gently and I understand what he said instantly, he says 'Mum, I know you have just seen her in a long time but everyone else wants to meet her too.' I stay silent.Nonna nods reluctantly so I can meet everyone else. Dad clears his throat and starts.
"Okay so, Ella, Seb has already met everyone but this is your Zio Francesco and his wife, your Zia Natasha," I narrow my eyes slightly at my Zia Natasha, her name familiar but I brush it off as just hearing her name because of the family and all.
Zio Fransesco steps forward, towing three boys with him, "Hello, Saella, it's lovely to meet you again, these are my three sons, Antonio, Aldo and Adriano they are triplets," The three boys smile brightly at me and move to hug me. I take one step back and they nod, not seeming to care too much. My mind wanders at that but I push it to the back of my mind. Another couple and their 6 kids step forward.
"Hello, Saella, I'm your Zio Matino and this is my wife, Zia Verity and our six kids, Nikolas, Jason, Leo, Charlie and the twins, Oscar and Jacob," Zio Matino introduces and all of them smile at me.
The next couple steps forward with five kids.
"Hello, Ella, my name is Zio Maxino and this is my wife, Zia Maria and our five kids, James, Axel, Edward, Issac and Theo," Zio Maxino says warmly and the final couple steps forward."I'm your Zio Mason and this is my wife, Zia Eloise and our three kids, Dylan and David who are twins and then Roman," Zio Mason says with a warm smile. I nod.
Hey guys, what do you think? This is a slightly longer chapter than normal but I hope you enjoyed, have a good night/day wherever you are and remember,
