Problematic Love

How did eda get in this situation? Well it started with a call from her best friend, hearing the pride and joy in their voice as they asked her to accompany them and Nora out today. She would of refused, but she hasn't seen them in two weeks and they sounded so hopeful over the phone.

Now she was drinking a Carmel Frappuccino, with liquor that she brought from home so she didn't seem depressed. She smiled, and made teasing comments about how much affection Raine and Nora were showing. Nothing to inimate, but longing looks, hugs, and what killed eda the most was seeing n the sparkle in Raines eyes as they looked at Nora. A look she'd been trying to get them to use when looking at her.

Eda was about half drunk by now, but it was easier to pretend that way. Nora looked at eda and smiled. "Eda! I saw the pictures on your social media, your so pretty" Nora said. Eda smiled a little. "Thanks.. So are you, I see why raines attracted to you" she teased, then took a nice gulp of her now alcoholic coffee. Raine chuckled. "You know what eda, Nora is amazing at baking, she made some muffins the other day and they were amazing! " they beamed. "Mhm, I bet! Heh.. " eda said back.

She was looking for any excuse to leave right now, but she couldn't bring herself to just bail on them. She said she'd try and move on, not stop loving them. How ever such a choice has come to bite her in the ass, as she watched Raine and Nora hold each other, and giggle, and make little inside jokes.

Why the hell do i torture myself like this?

Soon, the universe gave her sick twisted mercy, when her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Edalyn.. Honey, you need to come to the hospital"

"What!?.. Hold on, what's going on, you okay?"

"Edalyn dear, it's your father"

Eda hung up immediately and saw Nora and Raine looking at her. "Calamity.. Are you okay?" Raine asked. The name still made her blush. "O-uhm.. Maybe! I need to go" eda said, and hurried off.

When eda got to the hospital her sister was there, holding their mother. "Woah, ma, what happened?" Eda asked. Gwen was wiping away tear, and took a second to speak. "Your father.. He had a stroke" eda looked shocked. "Hold on what!? How the hell did he have a-" suddenly eda stopped when multiple doctors rushed in the room Dell was in. Lilith wasn't the best with handling emotions, so the only thing she really could do was sntay by her mother's side.

Everything seemed to happen so fast, now eda was getting a little nervous.

Meanwhile, Raine and Nora were spending time together, but something had been on Nora's mind. They were playing a game because Nora insisted they'd like it. "Raine..can I ask you something?" Nora asked. "Of course! Ask me anything" Raine said happily. "Does.. Edalyn niften act like that around you?" Nora asked. "Hm? Act like what?" Raine asked. "Well.. She just always gets so flustered around you" Nora said. "Flustered? I haven't noticed, why would she be flustered around me?" Raine asked. "Well.. Maybe because she likes you? Has she ever had a partner?" Nora asked. Raine took a few seconds to think. "Hm.. No actually, she always said she didn't want to be tied down to anyone" Raine said. Nora took a second to think and thought that matched up with the carefree spirit Raine described to her. "Alright, she does seem like that type, doesn't she?" Nora asked with a ammused smile. "Yeah, she's so amazing like that, you know, she could never stay out of trouble for the life of her when we were in school" Raine laughed. "She never got expelled?" Nora asked. "Nope, everyone knew it was her, but they technically could never prove it, and she would never admit to anything, I'm convinced she could go through torture and say nothing" Raine said with pride. "You speak so highly of her.. Shes so special to you, isn't she?" Nora asked. "She is! She's absolutely my best friend, that's why I'm so glad you get along with her" Raine said and started blushing.

The spoke about eda for hours, and not in a way that made Nora jealous, but made her interested, and excited to get closer to eda.

However, at 12:45 am, a doctor came to talk to eda, Lilith, and Gwen. "I'm.. So sorry for your loss, there's nothing more we can do" the doctor said. Gwen started crying, although Lilith and eda were more composed, they were devastated.

Death was something terrible to experience in the family, and it's would be hard... Although Gwen would start to change.

Eda went home, and processed everything at about 2 am, due to helping Lilith calm their mother down so she could sleep. Eda collapsed on her couch, and Luna jumped on her and laid down on edas neck.

The funeral was 3 weeks later and a honorable ceremony, and Dell left one last message nfor each of them, which were given to them on piece's of papers. Eda was leaning on a wall, and started to read it, but all it said was.

STAY SINGLE AND A VIRGIN FOREVER

along with death threats towards Raine, since he and everyone but Raine knew about her feelings for them. Then Lilith came up to her. "Edalyn, are you doing alright?" She asked. "Uhh.. Y-yeah, dads note.. Uhm.. Just.. Here" eda said, and handed it to Lilith Lilith looked at it, and started snickering. "W-wow.. Uhm, just wow.. " Lilith said and handed it back to eda. "What did yours say?" Eda asked. "To follow my dreams.. " Lilith said. "Great.. So you got something off a calendar, and I got a page full of death threats twords my best friend and a message he basically wants me to be a nun for the rest of my life" eda said. Lilith chuckled. "I'm sure he didn't mean it" Lilith said. Then one if the servers gave eda another peice of paper.

Eda looked at and it said.

I MEAN IT, BECOME A NUN

eda sighed, and Lilith giggled. "Can it.. " eda scoffed.

Later on, when eda was alone, a man with a camera came up to her. "Excuse me ma', may I have a moment of your time?" He asked. Eda was a little caught of guard, but nodded. "I saw you from the other side of the room, and I'd like to hire you as a model" he said. Eda was shocked. "A model?!.. I-i mean.. I never thought of ever being a model" eda said. "Well my dear, I'd love to have you at my agency, take my business card and think about it" he said, handed her a business card and left. "What the hell just happened?" Eda asked herself

Eda has never thought of herself as a model material, but someone genuinely wanted her. Would she accept, she didn't know, but this could start a whole new life for her.
