What is a Titan's Core?

A few weeks have passed

"Lumi lumi lumi, you can NOT be serious. More tests?" You sigh looking at your friend. "What for this time?"

Well, the engineers would like to ask you to do something for them but until I can make sure it won't hurt or even kill you, I refuse to let them even ask. The magnetic fields involved seriously damages one of us within minutes, I cannot ask you to put yourself in harms way as the sole human here. I must make sure it is safe for you first. Your leg has only just fixed itself my friend.

"Wait wait wait, magnetic fields? How big, how many and WHERE?!"

Do you really want to know? Lumin looks at you tilting their head slightly.

"Uh well yeah, telling me would give you a quicker answer as to whether its dangerous for me or not"

Lumin sighs, putting his head down whilst also fidgeting their thumbs together. You think he looks cute like that but you push that thought aside for now when he finally speaks again.

...The Titan... he is having some issues.. inside past his core chamber. We need to get in there to see what is the matter and if it can be fixed but his frame there is full of magnetic fields which stop us from investigating properly ourselves. We were hoping with your knowledge and our guidance, that you could maybe help fix whatever is wrong?

"Shouldn't be a problem to me, I'm not made of circuits and wires like you lot. Magnets don't really affect humans like they do Techfolk. When did they want me to go looksie?"

ASAP, he wants to go out to battle again but the Chief will not allow him till this problem is sorted one way or the other. Bayer would also rather throw 100 of us in to get the information on what is wrong and to fix it if there is any chance of risk to you.

You stand up and shoo Lumin out. "Go tell Bayer that I will be there within the hour. Let me eat and change then we can get cracking. Don't you worry, this is gonna be an easy breezey thing for lil ol me"

An hour later you are standing in front of the Titan at his feet looking up whilst listening to Bayer explain exactly what you need to look for and try to correct if you can. You are very glad you had put on a sturdy skintight suit with boots and gloves as well as a tool belt across your chest as it sounds like you will be in some very tight spots. Over your earpiece you can hear the angry grumblings of the Titan in the background as Bayer continues with the explanations. You wave Bayer into silence.

"Right, ok. Times a-wasting and looks like Blue there is getting angsty to get this done so let's just roll with it and see what comes. Would be easier and faster to explain while I am on the way and I still need to see if I can even get in there first."

If the Cam Men had eyes theirs would've bugged out at you calling their Titan Blue. As the Titan quickly brings its hand down palm out, you surmise it wants you to step on as it is wordless towards you. You gesture to the Titan to bring you up to its face first so you could speak.

"Hey! They might've told ya already but the names Vex. They wont tell me what your name is just that your 'the Titan' but c'mon? You gotta have a name? I have a receiver here," you tap your ear "so if you wish to speak to me you can, broadcast or private if you want to ok? If not, well just put me by the core entrance and I will get on with the job as best I can." You give him a wide smile and 2 thumbs up as you had picked up the signal from the other Cam Men doing it to show everything was ok and waited.

A soft buzz sounded in your earpiece then you heard that musical voice that you had heard weeks before.

Hello Vex, the engineers tell me this will not hurt you? Is this right? I would rather go out unfixed if anyone would be hurt by tending me.
