"Oh my god," Niall whispered, letting go of Liam's hand. He blocked his face, beginning to walk away.
"Niall?" Liam said, turning to follow him. Niall disappeared into the bathroom as Liam came closer.
When he walked in, he saw Niall leaning over the sink, tears falling down his cheeks. "Babe, what's wrong?"
"That's Harry, Liam!" He cried. "He's the boy I dated five years ago that wanted me to marry him and have kids with him!"
"Oh," Liam said, rubbing Niall's back gently. "So what do you plan to do?"
"I don't know. I obviously don't have feelings for him, but it's so hard to forget someone I was about to spend the rest of my life with."
"Well, you can't stay in here. Why don't we go out and you just pretend that you don't remember your past?"
"Would that work?"
"Yeah. If he brings it up just say you don't remember. That's the easiest way to talk to him without getting too emotional and/or him hating you."
Niall sniffled. "Okay. I'll try that."
"I love you." Liam wiped away Niall's tears, kissing his lips carefully and lovingly.
"I love you too, Liam." They walked out of the bathroom, hand-in-hand. When they got to the table, Niall said, "sorry about that, lads."
"It's all good," Louis said.
"Daddy! Look what I made!" James cheered, showing Liam his creation of Legos.
"Oh my gosh, James! That is so cool!" Liam said, marvelling over the Lego truck.
"I made it with Harry," James said, spinning the little wheels.
"That is really awesome. So you like Legos?"
"They're the best toys in the world."
"I'm glad I know that now." Liam smiled, ruffling James' hair again. He looked up at everyone at the table. "So, Niall and I have some exciting news to tell everyone."
"What is it?" Louis asked.
Liam looked to Niall who gave him a nod. "We're expecting!"
"That's great, guys!" Louis said, smiling. Harry showed no expression. Niall looked at him, waiting for a reaction.
Instead, Harry pulled out his chair, getting up and going to the bar. "Harry-" Louis started.
"I'll go talk to him," Niall said, getting up.
"Are you sure?" Liam asked, unsure.
"Yes. I'm the only person who can talk about this right now." He went over to Harry, sitting in the chair next to him. "Harry-"
"No I don't want hear it," Harry interrupted.
"Harry, I want you to listen to me," Niall started. "I know we have a past and I understand why you're upset."
"No you don't," Harry sniffled.
"Yes I do."
"No you clearly don't! You said years ago that you didn't want kids."
"I said I wasn't ready for kids at that point. I never said I didn't want any. I also said that if we waited another year or so, that we can definitely have kids. You broke up with me."
"I know. I'm sorry I just-" He stopped for a short moment. "It just came so suddenly."
"I understand that's hard. But, we have to move on from our past and be happy for each other. I think it's great that you're with Louis. You guys seem fine together."
