Pete felt like nothing, he couldn't understand how one person could do such a thing to another. His heart was in pieces. The tears flowing from his eyes were fat and hot, so hot that they burned his skin and his eyes were already starting to swell and turn red. He didn't want to cry, but his mixed feelings were overflowing like a waterfall.

The only thing on his mind was that he should have killed him, maybe then he wouldn't be feeling all this turmoil. And don't think he wouldn't have the courage to do it, because Pete would, because it wouldn't be the first time he'd killed someone.

It was many years ago. The death of his parents was no accident, and when Pete found out, he couldn't stand it. And who would have thought that that sweet teenager with the kind smile could hide a sadist who would do anything for the people he loves. And that's what he did. He searched for the person who killed his parents and ended his miserable, insignificant life. After that day, he put the gun away and never picked it up again, but today when he found out what Vegas was up to, trying to use it for a revenge that wasn't his, and had nothing to do with him. But the worst thing wasn't revenge, it was using your feelings without even caring.

Pete could be considered a cold killer, but he would never... He considers love and trust to be the most important things you can get from someone, and Vegas Theerapanyakul had wiped them both out in one fell swoop.

(...)

A week had passed, and all of Pete's regular customers had noticed that he was different from the usual bright and shiny Pete. Even the flowers weren't doing as well as they used to; it was as if they realized that their grower and owner was unwell.

Pete did things on automatic. Pretending that he didn't feel empty inside, and it was with this pretense that he ended another day, and just as he was about to turn off the lights, the bell on his store door was heard, warning him that someone had come in.

— We're already... — He stopped talking as he turned around, and in front of him Vegas was standing with a giant smile on his face. — You really crave death. — He rolls his eyes. — The store is closed, if you want to buy something go somewhere else. — He presses the button to turn off the lights and leaves the store. — You're not leaving?

— We have to talk. — He says without going through the door.

— If you don't leave, I'll lock you in and then call the police.

— You wouldn't do that.

— You also said I wouldn't shoot. — He raises an eyebrow in defiance.

— All right. — Vegas comes out of the store, and Pete locks it. — Pete, please. — Vegas tries again, just as Pete starts walking towards the car, not even paying attention to Theerapanyakul. — At first I really just wanted revenge, but then I fell in love with you.

— I don't care... Then don't waste your breath. — He opens the car door and gets in, but before he closes the door, Vegas grabs it. — Let go. — He says between his teeth, holding the door tightly. — If you don't take your hand away, you'll lose it. — He pulls again, and again Vegas doesn't let go.

— Give me five minutes. — His sad phase could be seen from afar, anyone who saw Vegas at that moment might be frightened, since Theerapanyakul wasn't one to beg, or even make a sad face at anyone, he just killed and tortured, when things didn't go the way he wanted, but right there at that moment Vegas was on the verge of dropping to his knees. — I really love you Pete.

— Two minutes. — Pete let go of the car door and continued to sit in it, staring at Vegas.

— Many years ago my father fell in love, but it was impossible, so he ended up marrying my mother, he didn't love her and that meant he didn't love me or my brother, but that's not the point... A long time later, he found out that the woman he had always been in love with had died, and it was my uncle, my father's older brother, who killed her. — Take a breath. — My father went mad, so he broke into the house of the first family to kill his brother, he locked himself in a room with him and after a few minutes shots were heard... My uncle ended up killing my father, so because of what my father was trying to do, he took everything away from me and my brother, putting Porsche in charge of the second family... And that's when they started hunting us down.
