The helicopter flies and I smile at Collins. She smiles back and
gives me a thumbs up.
"So, where are we going?" Kevin says, looking at Collins.
She runs her hand through her beautiful brown hair. "Somewhere far from here,"
"Like where? Me and Chloe have to get back home." Kevin sighs. He doesn't understand. I guess I have to talk to him.
"We can't. I overheard my dad talking. We can't let them find us, and the first place they look is going to be your house."
"Apartment, actually. We haven't had the chance to buy a house," I say.
"Oh, I thought you were married, or something. Never mind." She looks embarrassed. "I thought you guys had kids and I was going to say 'better get your kids to safety or they might be taken' but I was wrong." She laughs, nervously.
"It's fine, Collins. No worries, he's my boyfriend, Kevin." I laugh too. It's kinda funny. This is the first time I actually look at her. She's very beautiful. She looks like Colton, but in her own way, she's more pretty. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair is dyed ombre and she has mascara on her thick eyelashes.
We landed and got out to look around. Collins smiled and inhaled the fresh air. "This is the place. This is where we will be safe."
I look at her. "No one would find us?"
"I'm sure," She indicates for us to follow her and she leads us in the forest. We walk until we approach this wood cabin. She smiles, looking like she remembers a memory, and opens the door. It smells like wood and heat. I walk into it to find a little kitchen and a living room. I explore to find 2 beds and 2 bathrooms.
"This is cute, Collins," I say, walking out of the bedroom.
"Thanks."
"How did you find it?"
"Me and my dad used to come here and camp." And that's all she said on the subject.
I see Kevin on the couch and sit next to him. "You seemed quiet this entire time. What's on your mind?"
"I don't know, Chloe," He rubs his eyes. He looks worn out, not counting his clothes. "I heard you and Danica talking. You are a alien?"
I laughed, but stopped when I saw that he was dead serious. "Kinda,"
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"You think that you will still be here if I told you? If I told you I was an alien, and then you don't believe me? And I didn't want you to think of me differently? I'm still Chloe..."
"I would still be here for you, Chloe. I still love you, no matter what. And I would've believed you if you told me." He says, quietly.
"I'm sorry, Kevin."
"It's fine, I just need to think about this," He looks at me.
"If it's fine, then why do you need to think about it?"
"I just need to think. Just give me some space." He gets up and my heart is literally torn in two as he walks away from me.
Collins sits next to me. "Everything okay?"
"Nothing is okay right now," I say, and bury my head in my hands. She rubs my back and hums a song. After I feel better, Collins gets up to make dinner and we eat in silence. We chose our beds and Kevin already went in to go to sleep. I sit down again with Collins to talk.
"What should I do about Kevin? He's mad at me because I didn't tell him about my secret."
"Just give him time. You know, time heals everything."
"Okay. I just feel so bad. He's always been there for me. I can't lose him."
"You won't lose him, Chloe. He may need time away from everything. It must be blowing his mind, knowing that you have powers and you're an alien and people are trying to kill us. It's all too much for him."
"There is someone here!" Kevin says, coming out of his room.
"What?" Collins says. "People shouldn't know we're here!" She gets up to check the blinds.
"Collins!" Someone yells. She jumps and breathes "Dad".
"We have to get out of here," I'm saying to Collins and Kevin as I grab my things. "They can't catch us. They can't catch you, Collins. If they do, I don't know what will happen."
Shooting comes from outside and hits the cabin. "Let's go." Kevin says and disappears into the room.
"I forgot that I went here with my dad," Collins smacked her forehead. "He knew that I would go here."
"Collins!" I say, as the shooting continues. "What are you talking about?
"I'm sorry! I didn't know that he remembered. I didn't think he ever remembered when we had fun times back in the day."
"Well, it's okay. We'll get through this. Come on," I handed her a hand gun and nod. She stands up and starts to shoot.
Kevin comes over to me and talks as we're both shooting people outside. "I'm sorry, I just didn't know what to think about all of this."
"It's fine. I know what you mean. I know it's too much for you," I say as I shoot a guy that's been trying to get me injured.
"I love you," He says, and I repeat it. We kiss for a brief moment and continues to keep shooting.
All the assets surrounded us and I grabbed Kevin's hand. I was scared, I didn't want to get caught by Madam Danica again. I know that Collins didn't want to be back in her father's grasp again. Collins hid behind me, opposite of Kevin, and clutched my arm. We looked pathetic as the assets surrounded us. I shut my eyes. I didn't want to be killed but if I did, I didn't want to see it. Or see my boyfriend or friend killed. I then heard screaming and panic. I heard shuffling and when I opened my eyes, people were scattering as someone with a sniper was shooting them one by one.
"Run," I scream to Kevin and Collins, before they could kill us too.  I ran behind the flipped table, and my heart was beating fast. Kevin and Collins joined me and I actually had hope that we could get out of here. But not with the sniper shooting everyone.
It was silent for a couple minutes and I took a peak around the table, everyone was dead. I saw someone come from the hill, where they were hiding, walking toward the house. I grabbed my knife, getting ready for anything that might happen. I put my back to the table again and just waited. I hear footsteps and a woman stepped around the table to look at us.
It was Svea. She smiled. "Hi, Chloe."
